We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Silitsky and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
INTEGRITY*PROSPERITY*GROWTH*HAPPY During my time as CEO and Founder Of answerQuest Executive Search, in 2008, I lost my voice for 18 months- I was barely able to speak, and could whisper at best. I had no idea what it was, and neither did the medical professionals. Finally, a year later, I was diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia, a rare neurological disease that impairs the vocal cords. Fortunately , I had a great team that I could count on to run the business day to day. I had a lot of time to reflect during this time, and discovered Meditation as a means to cope, and stay grounded. It Profoundly changed my entire perspective and was the start of becoming much more self aware, compassionate, present and clear on so many levels. I am grateful that I went thru this as painful as it was, as I would never have evolved had I not. I really believe to get where you want, to be happy, and prosper, You need to “slow it down to speed it up”, meaning by taking your time, being patient and thinking long term, you will get where you want faster by slowing it down.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My Company is Paul Allen Career Coach and my sole focus is coaching my clients on how to land a career/job that matches their superpowers and that they love. Life is too short to not love your work.  Why does my business exist? The career they choose, the job they accept can be life changing. Our job is to help them make the right career/Job decision based on their innate natural talents (Super Powers) with a company that matches their values.  From an emotional perspective, we want our clients to trust our expertise and advice and feel content and at ease because we are in this together.  Why should our clients work with us (rather than someone else)? Because we work with you, the Whole person, not just about getting any job, but getting the job that excites you, that has the best leadership your can grow with! So how do we find the right job? By using a Proven assessment that identifies our innate superpowers, we can focus on matching the job to those super powers. Then we work together, step by step using a proprietary system from identifying the job to getting the job, the right Job. We have every part of the process covered, so you can follow the roadmap with me and you working together to go from Possibility to Reality. I am with you all the way along the journey. How can I do this, because I have been doing just this my entire working life with over 30 years hiring the most talented, mentoring them, leading organization with startups from 3 employees to 3,000 employees, curating my leadership experience with a fortune 50 company to starting a Talent acquisition firm that became the largest search firm of its kind,I have lived my career dreams following my passion all along the way. I can do the same for you. ******Stories come into my website (the about us section, and or video, key note speech, blog.,,…  What stories would inspire my clients? Story no. 1: I realized that my first job out of college, as an accountant, (I graduated with a Bachelors of Business degree in Accounting, Bernard M. Baruch College) was a learning experience, but it was not what I wanted to do and what my true superpowers (communication, sales and Leadership) said I should be doing. SO I quit. And started pursuing a company that inspired, excited and matched my values. I learned some hard lessons but some very valuable ones. I learned not to take rejection personal as I was turned down over and over by my chosen company (ADP), “I have no sales experience” sorry cant hire you. But I kept pursuing different leaders at the company, knowing that if I showed true passion and a desire to be there, it would resonate with someone, and that someone hired me! I went on to become the Leading sales person in the company, then ultimately to leading a sales force of 75 people, every one of which I hired to become the top performing VP of Sales in the company over a 10 year career. What I learned at ADP, was the art of Hiring Top Talent, building sales strategies systematically, and leading teams with inspiration, fun and desire to be the best version of themselves they could be.  Story no. 2.: After 10 years at ADP, I was offered a position as VP of Sales with a small start up Health Care Company with only 3 employees, in a market I knew nothing about, in a city I barely knew. I took the role, because it aligned with my Super Powers (Communication, Sales and leadership) and it excited me to be part of a startup. I even took a big salary cut, because I knew that this was a growth experience I needed that in the long run was part of the puzzle of my career and personal growth journey I needed. Over 8 years, I led the company from 3 employees to over 3,000 employees. What I learned was invaluable. How to grow a start up from the ground up to one of the most respected companies in our

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
THe book “Where ever you go, there you are” by Jon Kabbatt Zinn. THis was my first book on learning how to meditate without the religous connotations. This changed my life in so many positive ways. The other book that is a life changing book for me was “The Untethered Soul” by Michael Singer as it helped me to realize that our thoughts are not always whats best. Most of are thinking is fear based and thus not real.
