We had the good fortune of connecting with Iryna Kastsova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Iryna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I can’t help it. It’s a wave of ideas. They have completely taken over me. I wanted to bring my vision to life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Perhaps I am different from other artists in that they are very attached to the brand, style. Galleries advise. We are used to hearing that an artist must be recognizable. But, I like different styles. The most difficult thing for me is to work in the same style all my life. I love experiments. When I paint, I live. If I wrote 300 works in one style, I easily change it to a new one. For example, there was realism, impressionism, now PopArt, then there will be something else.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely draw a friend on the beach. The ocean and the beach are very impressive. And the picture where he is on the beach is the best gift and memory for a lifetime. Then you should definitely visit Eden Gallery Miami, Art Basel in Miami Beach.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oddly enough, but Coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has directed my attention to online galleries. And this period turned out to be the most exciting. The first gallery that I am very grateful to was UGallery. They taught me everything. Then, of course, I decided to increase sales. And she began to cooperate with popular galleries that also sell a lot of paintings: Singulart, Saatchi Art, Zatista, Artfinder, GalleryTooday, Artmajeur. Thanks a million times for their work! They are true professionals who love what they do.
