Meet Magela Hererra | business

We had the good fortune of connecting with Magela Hererra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Magela, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well my project started when I was a student in the Norwegian Academy of Music. In order to take my BA final exam I had to create and develop my own project. I did not have a specific strategy and did not know where to start, so I took many feil roads, but well I gained some experience. Since my ealy days in music I always saw myself playing in a symphony orchestra or teaching music at school. But well I guess life guided me through a different path. The process to create and mold myself as the artist I’m today, took time and still is under development.I know I am on the right path but still I am not completely who I want to be. I do remember that The main thought for my project is to connect with people through my music, my own experiences, with my lyrics. I want to leave a message on people’s hearts every time they listen to my music or come to my shows.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
First I want to invite them to visit my web page www.magelaherrera.com , my IG @mgelaherrera, or Facebook Magela Herrera Musica. There is a lot of content there that shows my work. Also on the digital platform you can find my music. My debut album Explications is a good example of what my background is and what I have to show as a latin-american artist. For those who do not know me I’m a flautist, singer, composer and a recording artist. Beside my own project I play as a sideman for different bands as Spam Allstars and Munir Hossn & Elas, Jose Luis Rodriguez de la Paz Ensamble. I mainly play jazz , eating music and flamenco but I also do funk, pop, electronic, Latin music, Cuban music and classical music. Nowadays I have a residency every Wednesday at Bayshore Club in Coconut Grove from 6-9. Also on May 28 I’m gonna be performing with my quintet on this concert series ARTSCAPE, from 5-7pm at Collins Plaza /2200 liberty ave, Miami Beach. All this is coordinated by KCC production and the city of Miami Beach.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
