Meet Isaac Fleischer | Basketball Personality

We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Fleischer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Isaac, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process was that I wanted to find a way to be involved in the game of basketball. I always idealized people such as athletes, broadcasters etc so by creating my own business it was my way of getting involved and being able to be a personality in the basketball community.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the moment I feel as if my work is very unique. There are very few people in the country that are known for doing what I do which is interviewing basketball players. I don’t do it to get any specific insight even though that is cool but instead do it to showcase their personalities and stories. It was not an easy process to get to where I am today. I feel like no success story was an easy journey and mine is no different. I’ve sacrificed a lot including having a big social life, time with family, and sometimes my sleep. Overtime though I learned that even though it may feel like I need to sacrifice all of these things my own personal happiness and relationships outside of business are just as important. What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that with hard work you can achieve anything. It definitely sounds cliche but it is true. I have no real connection to the basketball industry and even though I am no where near a celebrity I was able to establish a brand where at least a few people know who I am in this competitive space. There were definitely some factors I was born into such as having supportive parents but my hard work really was the driving force for all of my success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In my opinion I probably wouldn’t do anything out of the ordinary if one of my best friends came to visit. For me it is all about company and I can make the best out of any situation if I am with one of my best friends. On another note however, you need to eat to survive so I would need to go get some good food. I would definitely bring my friend to an Italian ice chain called Jeremiah’s which is super good. To throw in some diversity I may bring up the idea of going to a restaurant called Izgara for some lovely Mediterranean food.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s a lot of people I would have to thank for my success. I wouldn’t want to leave anybody out or not include people but for every big opportunity that I’ve had there was another person behind the scenes that helped me out in one way or another that got me to where I am today. I would like to shout out my parents because even though they never directly got me any opportunities, they are the reasons why I am able to go out to events and spend my time interviewing and working hard while behind the scenes they work hard for me making sure I can focus on school and my business.
