We had the good fortune of connecting with Isabel Sasso and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isabel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started LaBella Moda Bikinis for the reason most people start a business. They see a lack in an industry. Bikinis have always been an important part of my wardrobe growing up in South Florida. I remember when I was in high school saving up money to buy a bikini that was good quality and looked great. I would always ask myself why should you have to sacrifice quality for a reasonable price?
Fast forward a couple of years and I met my boyfriend who is from Brazil. Do yourself a favor and learn about Brazilian culture!
After seeing the way that everyone dresses and receiving gifts from Brazil. I realized that the bikinis are beautiful and amazing quality. I knew immediately that I wanted to bring these beautiful bikinis here. When I started my business I spent a lot of time and went through many samples to find manufacturers that shared the same values when it comes to bikinis. It’s all in the fabric! My bikinis are made from high quality fabric which is not only incredibly soft but extremely durable. Something else that was very important for me when creating my bikinis was the colors and prints. I wanted to make sure that my bikinis are bringing a taste of Brazil to the US with this vibrant colors and bold designs. I do my best to keep the prices on my bikinis reasonable, between $60-$75 a set.
I also wanted to find bikinis that enhance the body and actually fit properly. Swimwear is some of the most revealing things we wear and when it does not fit properly or feel comfortable on the body it can cause us to feel less confident. I hate that. I wanted to find swimwear that fits perfectly and will have women constantly feeling confident.
Starting a business is hard and it will leave you questioning why you ever did it at times, but every time I get a message from a customer who is overjoyed by their bikini, it reminds me exactly why I started LaBella Moda Bikinis.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Aside from owning an online bikini boutique I work in HR for a biotechnology company. I worked hard to get my degree and I was very excited to get this position out of college. It’s completely possible to have a career and run a business!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Boynton Beach so some of my favorite spots to take visitors is Atlantic Ave. In Delray and of course the beach.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A huge shoutout to my parents, boyfriend, friends, and family. They have all been so supportive of me starting my business and have all gone above and beyond to help me start this. Every one of them has spent their time and money to help me make my dreams come true.
