We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacq Dowling and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacq, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve taken many what other people might think of as risks in both my life and career.

I am naturally someone who is comfortable with change and is always down for an adventure and it has definitely manifested itself self in taking big leaps throughout my life.

I’ve traveled the World by myself, moved to new cities on a whim, and started new businesses in fields I didn’t know how to crack.

With big risk comes big reward.

There is that saying, Your Treasure is in the Cave you Fear, and I have found that to be true time and time again.

But for me, these risks have felt more like leaps of faith.

Taking risks is all about connecting to yourself and your intuition and following the nudges, pulls, and signs from the Universe.

The only times I’ve had regrets in my life is when I didn’t listen and trust those impulses.

When you have faith, trust, and believe in yourself, you can make magic happen.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Your treasure is in the cave you fear, as they say, and I definitely resisted this calling for a long time.

But after enough reflection from others that I’ve helped and impacted, I just decided to step into it and haven’t looked back since.

What’s helped me the most is creating balance in my business.

I’ve established the roots, foundations, and structures while also leaving room for my intuition and creativity to flow through me.

My goal for business is always to serve and be the person that I needed when I was younger and going through a hard time.

My mission is to help others better love, understand, and accept themselves and own who they are in order to live their best life.

Spirituality can sometimes be so serious, so I wanted to be able to go deep while also making it fun, light, and easy to digest.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my favorite things about Miami is the diversity of neighborhoods, activity, and culture at your fingertips.

The weather, beach, nightlife, and restaurant scene also help entice the out-of-towners.

I love Mila for a Friday night out, as it checks all the boxes. There’s entertainment, good music, incredible food, and cocktails, while also providing a bit of a scene.

During the day, we’re hanging out at Soho House and hopping between the beach and pool.

We’re also definitely going to stroll South Beach and Lincoln Ave as you really get a feel for the Miami laid-back culture and vibe.

The Faena Bazaar and Design District are my two favorite places to shop as the Miami shopping scene is definitely underrated in my opinion.

For pizza, we’re definitely checking out La Natural – as someone who lived in New York for 8 years – it’s the best Neapolitan style pizza I’ve found in Miami.

I also love taking people out to Key Biscayne, as it’s quiet, quaint, and the beach is just next level. We might hit Vizcaya Museum & Gardens on the way out, too, as it shows the natural beauty of Miami outside of South Beach.

For the more chill visitors, I love walking around Wynwood and strolling through the shops, and ending at the Taco Stand for some incredible tacos. I was born in San Diego and found the original in Encinitas, so this is a little taste of heaven for me as a self-professed taco aficionado.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many books, people, and mentors that have supported and believed in me in my journey.

I have to say that my parents have been my rock since the beginning. They have never even batted an eyelash when I’ve told them some of the things I’m doing. Their unwavering faith in support in me has allowed me to have confidence in myself and in my decisions.

My mentor, spiritual teacher, and coach Gee has also been instrumental in my growth and journey and has been my number one rock, friend, therapist, motivator, supporter, and cheerleader.

I am a book junkie and love to learn about everything. The most impactful books I’ve read have been the ones that have taught me about myself and life.
