We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Soir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacqueline, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
It is very simple for me, I pursued an artistic/creative career because it was part of my true being. I did not start it to become famous nor rich, although that would be nice. I started it cause I had tried so many different jobs prior and my mind and spirit would always come back to the creative side. Creating is when I feel most alive, most myself, most whole.

I am able to find a world of mediums within photography to keep me creating and an actual science and technical world to keep me on my toes in learning new things.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I create photoshoots for the every day woman. I have worked in most aspects of production from make- up artist to wardrobe stylist to production assistant to even making props and I love it all! I conceptualize, direct and produce the shoots to make sure my subject’s essence comes through authentically. As much as I love creating and have many ideas, I do keep it simple and I do like to have room for chance to come in too.

I recently added to my services Product Photography/ Still-Life  for small brands, I help elevate the products and ensure beautiful content for their social media platforms or e-commerce websites, or advertising.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend coming over, I would probably make sure to go to the beach here in Boca Raton, where the parking is easy and they keep it clean, we love Red Reef Park. I would take them to go eat and walk in the Delray area with so many good restaurants and bars.
Then another day we would go to the Norton Museum in West Palm.
I have been loving the feel of Dante’s HiFi in Wynwood chill vibe music and great cocktails.
I would want to got to the PAMM and walk around Downtown and see how it has grown in the last 5 years.
I would want to visit other smaller local art galleries like Margulies Collection, the Rubell Collection, the Delacruz Collection, the Emerson Dorsch gallery. There is so much to see!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

I want to do a shout out to Emily Peters which is an amazing designer and sustainable supporter, she has an IG platform to dedicated to creatives making things with recycled goods, called @recreate.miami

Also, Bianca Carosio, who is a freelance Creative Director and Retoucher for editorial and a great supporter of Miami’s image maker community and brings creatives together.  @biancacarosio She deserves a shout out!
