We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaimeluis Organic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaimeluis, what do you attribute your success to?
When the project started I realized that I was doing what I really wanted to do, I really liked what I was doing, and therefore I understood that by giving my personality to the project I had acceptance, I am the brand. I am far from offering trends, I only offer what I would like to have at home, or for the development of a project such as a hotel or a restaurant.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Mention an important factor in my life based on the question, was having left my parent’s house at a young age, this offered a lot of adventure to my life at the time and when I was in trouble I solved it myself, in my own way. Growing old listening to the advice of your parents I think it cuts your imagination and I value this very much today I feel confident in every challenge. I think that all this has meant that I am not recognized as the man who sells chairs, I am being recognized for the path I have traveled during my life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh wow, I could start but I won’t know where to end hahaha, Miami is a fantastic place that will easily give you recognition as the best host.

To start, I think I would welcome my friend to my house with the Paellas offered by Chef Anthony from Paella 305, the food is great, the flavor, and the quality of the seafood, and it is also very pleasant to see how he prepares everything in front of you. After all, it’s a cooking show. The next morning’s breakfast would be with Rosetta focaccias, and having a great day at the beach, in any spot in the city. The first of many drinks would be at Café La Trova, this place could be said to be one of the great representations that the city of Miami has, with live music, great drinks, and a fantastic Caribbean atmosphere.
A shark trail would be great, in the heart of the Everglades where we can see crocodiles up close, very close, and breathe the air of this unique jungle in the world.
Night boat rides on the Miami River, downtown, South Beach, Brickell, and more. This is the Miami that we all should know, other drinks would be at Lagniappe, the place is super cool, uncomplicated, and perfect to meet someone.
Bicycling or walking along Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, preferably on a Monday or Tuesday, seeing the Art Deco architecture in Miami up close with its neon colors, I find it a wonderful spectacle.
Visiting Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is unmissable, the place takes you back in time and lets you appreciate a unique place with its tropical gardens with endemic species of the state of Florida.
On the same day, you can go for lunch or dinner at The Fish House in Key Largo, one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Not at all fancy, fun, and with a great menu of seafood.
Paddleboarding in Oleta Park is a great plan, within the mangals where you can see its ecosystem and its importance up close.

Concerts, flea markets, and try everything flavored with guava.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I remember the phrase I am from where I am! I have to be true to myself to answer this question. Everything is based on the confidence you have in yourself and in decision-making, my life experience in Los Angeles and now in Miami shaped what is known as Jaimeluis Organic, and from both, I have taken its flora and fauna as inspiration, from one of them its desert and its Rock music aesthetic that seems to enjoy temporary suspension and from the other its magnificent geographical location, its canals, and the Art Deco Neon architecture in Miami Beach, is priceless!
