We had the good fortune of connecting with Jemiah Jamison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jemiah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my business because I’ve always been passionate about fashion and dreamed of having my own brand. But beyond just creating clothing, I wanted to build something with meaning—something that encourages people to be themselves unapologetically. My goal is to inspire others to go after what they want and believe that whatever you put your mind to, you can accomplish. Fashion is my way of expressing that message and connecting with others on a deeper level.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t easy, but it’s been real—and that’s what makes it worth it. I’ve always had a love for fashion, and turning that passion into a brand was something I dreamed about for a long time. But dreaming and doing are two different things, and stepping out to create something of my own came with challenges—self-doubt, learning curves, and having to constantly push through moments when things didn’t go as planned.

What helped me overcome those challenges was staying grounded in my “why.” I knew I wasn’t just building a brand to sell clothes—I wanted to create something that encouraged people to be themselves, to feel confident, and to know that anything is possible if you’re willing to put in the work. I leaned into faith, resilience, and the belief that being authentic would always lead me in the right direction.

Along the way, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about results—it’s about consistency, mindset, and heart. It’s about showing up even when things get hard and staying true to your vision even when others don’t see it yet.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand starting with me is just to be YOU people would love that authentic person . About my brand is that my brand is more than just fashion—it’s a reflection of my story, my values, and my drive to uplift others. I’m just being me in everything I do, and I hope that inspires others to do the same.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d have to show them the real Miami—the side that raised me, inspired me, and made me who I am. I work hard, but when it’s time to unwind and show love to my city, I’m all in. I’d take them everywhere that means something to me—from the local gems to the places that feel like home.

We’d start in Little Havana for some cafecito and pastelitos—real Miami style. Then hit Wynwood to check out the art, catch a vibe, and maybe grab dinner at Joia Beach or KYU. Wynwood at night? Always a move.

Of course, I’d take them through my neighborhood—show them where it all started. That part’s important. We’d hit a local spot for some good food and just chill, catch up, reflect.

Beach days? Mandatory. South Beach in the morning, bikes down Ocean Drive, and later maybe drinks and music at The Wharf or a rooftop in Wynwood for the sunset.

One day would be for creativity—thrifting, chilling at a café, working on ideas. I’d show them the energy that feeds my brand and what keeps me inspired.

And of course, one good night out. Dinner at Komodo or Swan, and then maybe E11even or Liv if we’re turning up. It’s only right.

By the end of the week, we’d slow it down with brunch at Greenstreet Café or Little Hen, then maybe just walk South Pointe, talk about everything, and take it all in.

That’s the Miami I’d want them to feel—not just the city, but my Miami. The one that raised me, pushed me, and taught me to show up real in everything I do.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
