We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Charbonnier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting a business is a dynamic process that requires thorough planning, resilience, and adaptability. Each step builds on the previous one, setting the foundation for a successful and sustainable business.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started Mystic Gypsy Soul so that I could start selling my jewelry. I’ve been doing macramé for about 30 years now. I’ve always loved doing it! I love creating one of a kind original pieces for people.
Along the way, I started adding to my business. I am a wholesale crystal buyer and supplier. I dove into holistic healing 6 years ago and I started adding that to Mystic Gypsy Soul 2 years ago. I’ve been studying Tarot reading for 5 years and have added that to Mystic Gypsy Soul about the same time I added Holistic Madness. (2 years)
And as of a week ago I enrolled back into school for Metaphysical Sciences to get my Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees.
Has it been hard? Absolutely!! That’s what makes it even more challenging and wanting to help people more!
Everything is a learning lesson. That’s how I deal with business. You learn and grow from it.
Mystic Gypsy Souls story is that, it’s never too late to do what you love or what you’re passionate about. My life before Mystic Gypsy Soul was in the medical field for 17 years. Now, I want people to learn and educate on how to heal themselves naturally. That’s where I come in. This is also why I started hosting pop up events with a lot of natural, holistic vendors.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, we are in Florida so, Juno Beach is the first stop!
Swing on by Tommy Bahamas restaurant for some yummy finger food and piña coladas!
Definitely bringing them to my pop up events!
Mounts botanical gardens or Morikami gardens.
Anything outside in nature is where you will find me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow! Well, I’d first like to thank my husband Jarrett. He is the one that introduced me to the Metaphysical world. It all started with crystals and trying to heal nerve damage in my brain. My husband not only helped heal me, but he was also the one to encourage me and support me in becoming the person I am now.
I’d also like to thank my daughter Kailin, for putting up with my crazy schedules. I’d to thank my dad, other family members and friends that became my family for all their continued support and love.
Lastly, I’d like to thank myself. For all the times I wanted to quit, I just kept pushing harder and stronger.
