We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremiah Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremiah, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
The balance between work and life is so integral. In the past my philosophy was to squeeze every waking moment imaginable to being productive and working. Being productive is very important however you still have to listen to your body. You still have to make time for resting, and leisure activities. Success is demanding but theres more to life than just the grind. So finding your individual and unique balance is crucial. I went from working three jobs simultaneously, starting up my own company, while also being active in my community, and while my productivity. skyrocketed, my mental health and relationships with people suffered tremendously. Only after finding that balance and listening to what my body needed was I able to get a healthy rhythm going which helped me out greatly.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When it comes to my art is a love/hate relationship honestly, but it’s always more love than hate. I have been practicing two dimensional art since elementary, which led. me to experimenting with customizing clothing. My heart is always meant to be an expressive representation of the abstract thoughts that rattle through my mind. With that being said it. is frustrating at times trying to make floating concepts into concrete ideas then finding an appropriate way to show them. There in lies the struggle and the beauty. When inspiration strikes it’s like lightning jolting through your entire being. Guiding you through a storm of creativity you have to be quick to. jot down the ideas or sketch the concept because just like the wind it can be gone in an instant. Similar to how it is when I create my music, I’ve learned to have grace with myself. Never beat yourself up when you can’t create or figure what or how you want to do something. Creativity is not something to be forced, but it is something you have to be ready to listen when it speaks. You can find inspiration in nature, on tv, or even from a conversation with an infant. The essence of a creator is to be a vessel or a conduit where creativity can channel through and take physical shape. What I want people to know about my brand and story is that we are all a masterpiece in the making. We take time, we require intentionality and we are not defined by our mistakes or our starting points.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you’re coming to my city you have to check out the beaches for certain. Gorgeous water, refreshing beach air, and music as far as the ear can hear. If you’re feeling adventurous you can hop of on a leisure boat and enjoy life on a yacht for a few hours with your friends. Later on in the day after you’ve enjoyed a chicken tender sub from Publix we hit up Wynwood and there’s something for everyone to do. You can catch me at the Savor Wynwood afrobeats lounge to start off the night, with their delicious food amazing music and the high possibility of meeting new people it’s definitely worth it. Then there’s Brickhouse, Dirty Rabbitt, 1800 Lucky, Centros, and the list goes on of amazing places to have a night to remember.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
No one man is an island, nor can we attain certain levels of greatness without the aid of others. I have been motivated and mentored by some of the best. Whether it be through clothing and the fashion industry from the legendary CEOs of FlySupply clothing, who gave me opportunities for networking and seeing first hand how attainable my dreams are because of their mounting success. To even being inspired by my father, who would constantly share his tales of his perilous journey to America to make a better life for my family far before my birth. In the business sense learning from business mogul Clinton Powell about proper business practices and innovation in that field. I also wanted to shoutout my home church of Evangel Church International where I was pushed to grow and step out of my comfort zone, which cultivated public speaking and people skills that continue to advance me to this day. Most importantly I want to shoutout the people I can call friends and family who challenge me to view the world differently and make it a safe space to create freely and out loud. They inspire me to want to create. a space like that for others to find who they are and what they love to do.
