Meet Jessika Angarita | Co-Founder PACTA

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessika Angarita and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessika, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I realized that giving my time, knowledge, and energy to companies that did not value what I was bringing to the table was unfair.

On several occasions, I had managers that constantly doubted my experience and track record because I was young. They ignored my opinions, even though they were based on years of work, and would trust people older than me who had less experience.

I got tired, bored, and craved a new challenge. I decided to jump on the water and swim with sharks alongside my business partner, Lisbet Castillo. Together we created PACTA, a boutique investor relations and digital marketing firm for small and mid-cap companies that are publicly trading or ready to take the next step in the capital markets. We build long-lasting relationships between companies and like-minded investors worldwide.

We were fortunate to have a strong reputation in the market working as employees. We also developed solid relationships through our journey in Toronto, Miami, NYC, Monaco, and Mexico City.

We are grateful for the mentors who encouraged us to continue hustling and the wonderful clients that trusted us, including global brands in the yachting, mining, and tech industries.

Our PACTA story continues, and the hustle never stops. Believe it or not, those companies that rejected my opinions are now knocking on our PACTA doors to be part of our world and network.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Core business: We are a boutique investor relations and digital marketing firm for small and mid-cap companies that are publicly trading or ready to take the next step in the capital markets. We build long-lasting relationships between companies and like-minded investors worldwide.

With a strong presence in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, PACTA connects you with a curated group of global investors, provides first access to exclusive events, and puts a team of experts to work on all your digital marketing needs.

Context: We are two immigrant Latino women trying to make it happen in a male-dominated world. I am Colombian-Canadian, and Lisbet is Cuban-American.

We are very proud that we have been able to break stereotypes in male-dominated industries. For us, it is always exciting to have a voice and seat at a table with top CEOs worldwide in the capital markets or learn from the wealthiest individuals when we are catering to the superyacht industry.

What excited us every day is the fact that we have access to those stories firsthand, so we can learn from successful individuals how they made it and what mistakes they made.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Wow! This depends on which best friend we are speaking of.

But here are my favorite spots: I am very Latina, so I would probably show them the best of Latin America in Miami.

1. Nice Healthy Breakfast at Pura Vida
2. Go running in Brickell Key and enjoy the view
3. Eat lunch at Cantina La Veinte for some Mexican Flavor
4. For dinner, I would go to Los Fuegos by Argentine grillmaster Francis Mallmann in Faena
5. For sure party at La Victoria and dance some reggaeton.

Now, of course, a yacht will be involved somewhere in the middle.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Lisbet Castillo, she is my ride or die. My business partner. She decided to leave the corporate world to build our company. It has been four incredible years in which we have gone through ups and downs but always kept our fighter mode on to keep going.
