We had the good fortune of connecting with Jianni Acosta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jianni, what do you attribute your success to?
We’ve grown so much in just one year and I would have to say an important factor is consistency and showing up for your business everyday. A lot of people want to be in business but not everyone is willing to continue to show up everyday regardless if things are working out for you or not. Business is all about trial and error and being consistent and showing up is the core reason behind our so far success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a first generation college student and was recruited during my junior year of college by a fortune 100 company who offered a full time job a whole year prior to me even graduating due to my grades and personality. After 4 years of working in corporate, I decided to leave my career to follow my dream of being my own boss. That decision was very difficult because I had to make huge sacrifices in my life such as moving back home with parents to take this risk, holding off on upgrading my car, cutting back on unnecessary expenses etc. Also, I was leaving a very well paying job with security and benefits DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC for entrepreneurship and the unknown. At that moment, I remember it being the hardest decision I ever had to make and being so scared but now I only wish I had done it sooner! Always remember the best investment you can ever make is in yourself and never stop believing in yourself.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a week I would definitely take them to spend it at Miami Beach, specifically in the Fountain Bleau Area. We’d spend the day tanning, enjoying the beach, spend the day at Lapis Spa, drink poolside and just enjoy the beautiful Miami weather.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, I owe a lot of my success to my Mom. Although I am the sole owner of this business, she has and continues put just as much effort as I have since the very first day I decided to start this business. Everything from hand beading bracelets, counting inventory, order fulfillment, product pictures, pop up events, painting and building our fulfillment center, you name it – she’s been beside me through it all. I owe a lot of my success to her and my biggest dream is to retire her from her job and bring her onboard with me full-time.
