We had the good fortune of connecting with Johanna Chone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Johanna, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk, to me, is an inherent aspect of growth and progress. In both life and career, taking risks has been pivotal in pushing boundaries, fostering resilience, and discovering new opportunities. As a model navigating uncertainty, embracing risk has allowed me to pursue my passion wholeheartedly, even amidst doubts of success. It’s about embracing the journey, learning from setbacks, and persistently chasing my dreams.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is defined by authenticity and a commitment to embracing life’s journey. What sets me apart is my belief in trusting intuition, surrounding myself with supportive individuals, and staying true to my passions. Getting to where I am today professionally has been a journey marked by challenges, but each obstacle has been an opportunity for growth. Lessons learned include the importance of resilience, balance, and saying yes to life’s opportunities. I want the world to know that my brand and story are about embracing the full spectrum of experiences, finding joy in the journey, and prioritizing holistic well-being.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots are Crandon park and the Everglades. For me as an artist it is important to recharge in the nature and be close to the water. Those places are peaceful and not so touristy. The plants and wildlife is amazing and the nature remained untouched.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It is so important to find your tribe and the right people around you in order to stay in the flow. My shoutout goes sincerely to Charlotte Wissel and her husband Peter . I met Peter a view years ago during a magazine shoot and we recently reconnected again. He is very professional and talented as a photographer. His wife is a successful interior designer and assists him during the shoot. Both are viosionairs and have big plans coming up. For me to see a married couple so aligned and able to work together on big projects makes me truly happy and believe that there is the one out there for me as well. The true love with who you can accomplish anything.
