We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnathan Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Johnathan, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think the most important factor for me is staying consistent and working hard. Most importantly having faith in God along the way. It’s so easy to just give up. So having faith and belief in God really keeps things solid all the way around for me. That’s something I tell people all the time. You will be tested and challenged. It comes down to how bad you want it and are you really willing to put in the work. It’s all a mind thing.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well my journey started through social media. It wasn’t always easy. It can be challenging because starting out no one knows who you are. It’s easy to give up when you’re putting yourself and your brand out there and no one is really gravitating towards it. However I’ve always felt like one day I will be recognized for what I do. I’ve just learned to brand myself better and always think of new ways to do it. Id like the world to know I work extremely hard at what I do. I am a hard worker, and I won’t let anybody else out work me. It’s something I personally take pride in. I’m now making the transition into doing more stand up and I love the challenges of it. It’s very different. It challenges me even more to create and my ways of presenting things.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well In my area it’s not really much to do, but I am pretty sure we’ll do some 4-wheeler riding and eat some Johnny’s pizza. Being from the country it’s not much to do, but I’m sure we’ll find some other things to do. I could show them the upbringing we had and were born into, I personally think it’s something they’d find pretty interesting.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really have a great support group. From family to friends to those that I don’t really know personally. Their support keeps me grounded and it really keeps my motor going. I can’t thank any of them enough. Sometimes I’ll have days to where I may not feel up to doing anything, but in my mind I know that they’re really behind me and expecting things from me. So it just triggers another gear that I may not have at the moment. I’m forever thankful for everybody that’s behind me. The progression will continue. It will only get better.
