Hi Josephanie, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Happiness to me is spending time with my loved ones eating good food and bonding over making memories . Cooking is one of my love languages . l love doing what I love with the people I love , and seeing their face when they taste a recipe of mine. I pour all my love and patience in my meals it makes me happy when they give me feed back and enjoy my food.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I am still a work in progress and nowhere near where I want to be , but I congratulate myself on the little accomplishments I make and if I fail I think of 5 other solutions on how I can succeed. I never would imagine that would a video of mine would reach 15k views on YouTube or that someone would reach out to me to cater but it’s happening.I have learned during the process its ok to enjoy the journey and just do what you love. Do not try to be perfect just start and learn as you go experience is the best teacher. If you compare yourself to other content creators don’t do it to tear yourself down compare to win and use what you see as motivation on how you can improve. I want people to know Jluxxe kitchen is going to continue to grow and I may be small now but I have learned that nothing is out of reach for me so be on the look out for me !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The first place that I would take my best friend with out a doubt is uchi miami in brickell for dinner . Uchi miami is the ultimate grown and sexy vibe for date night or just friends. The food is delicious ! I would encourage them to try the soft shell crab roll and they have a Wagyu beef roll that is so tender it melts in your mouth. The wharf is another one of my favorite places to go in miami they always have themes its free entry and they have the best steak quesadilla in miami dade . We can dance Order drinks and mingle all night . the following days I would recommend places to relax such as Nikki beach , rsvp a spa day or a Day at fountaine blue. I would end the trip in wynnwood and take them to see all of the beautiful art.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

My aunt Tasha and my man Eduardo. My aunt had her own small black-owned business in miami called Christel care products. She makes everything from scratch her products are amazing! Seeing her step out on faith and pursue her dreams while being a full time mom is very motivating. My aunt is my muse she has loved and supported me unconditionally since I was born. My boyfriend deserves recognition for his support! He has supported every dream of mine for 10 years no matter what I wanted to pursue, because of his support I am in school full time I’m going to graduate soon I would be the first college graduate in my immediate family that means the world to me ! Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to be an educated black woman. With both of their support now I can be a part of a statistic of black women being the most educated group among the US! I’m forever grateful.
