Meet Josh Acoff | Disc jockey, artist, actor, record executive, media personality and entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Josh Acoff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josh, how do you think about risk?
In my opinion, risk-taking is very important when it comes to being an entrepreneur really life in general. It is hard to grow while you’re inside your comfort zone because of this you must take risks in life in order to grow. Taking risk has played a very important role in my life and career, I have always gambled and bet on myself which has lead to the success ive had so far.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Dj, artist, actor, record executive, media personality, and entrepreneur. I’ve been involved with music my entire life but started Djing while I was in college and have had shows in most major cities. . I have worked with numerous artist over the years including K Camp, KShiday, Webbie, Shy Glizzy, Rayy Dubb, Bambino Gold(RIP), TC Gambino, TSL Fetti, Landlord Lo, Lyrik, TLE Cinco, Famous KId Brick and many more. I have been based in Birmingham(AL), ATL, Miami, Tampa and Las Vegas. I have also acted in n XXl: O’Day produced by Brandon Holland, and the Youtube series Barry Tales produced by Kartoon Management. I believe my personality and mindset set me apart from others, anything I put my mind to I accomplish because I want stop hustling until I do. To get where I am today it took alot of work, many sleepless nights, and has been full of ups and downs. However its part of the journey the road to success is a long and difficult road but the final destination is always beautiful. The biggest lesson I learned along the way is to never give up no matter how difficult things may seem. I want the world to view me and my story as an inspiration

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would spend most of my time in South Beach & Downtown and at night going to clubs or bars like LIV, E11even, the bars in Wynwood, Tootsie’s, Story, etc. Food wise we would go to Finga Licking, Yardbird, Benihana, and probably a few other places. Id take them to the wynwood walls, The Versace Mansion, Aventura Mall, The Miami design district, and other places as well

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give my shout-out to Bessemer, Alabama. It is where I was born and raised and helped make me the man I am today.
