Hi Josniel, how do you think about risk?
Risk is essential to every business. I truly believe in the essence of risk and the achievement of goals that come with it. The fashion industry is a fundamental risk every season; the ability to decipher and commit fully to trend comes with its pros and cons. Rex Fabrics wouldn’t be what it is today without the risk we put in it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Rex Fabrics is your local family-owned business with 30 plus years selling premium exclusive textiles, offering Haute Couture Services, Bespoke Tailoring, and Home Decorative Services. We are your local premier one-stop-shop. From sourcing materials for your home sewing projects, finding that missing button, sourcing your novelty Guayabera, crafting your custom suits and shirts, designing your couture dream bridal gown, getting your couch reupholstered and home curtains, our expert team of designers and tailors have the gamut of your needs and dreams covered!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
¡Bienvenido a Miami! Miami is intoxicating for the fusion of culture, art, food, and colorful people against the backdrop of a tropical paradise. I wish I had more time to enjoy our Magic City but when you’re passionate about what you do, it is hard to get away. The first Stop off the plane is the Versailles Ventanita for a quick (guava) pastelito / colada combo. Second stop, a quick driving tour around town from Calle Ocho, through the Gables, Brickell, Miami River, Down Town, Wynwood, Design District, over the bridge into Miami Beach and finishing of the day with sunset watching at South Pointe Park. As a family man, we usually find refuge on the beach. The drive to Naples, Marco Island, Siesta Key, or Key West never disappoints. Decompressing in nature, kicking back some beers with close family and friends is more my speed these days.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A solid business foundation built on exquisite taste and exceptional service under the mentoring of the late Carina Rodriguez helped pave the way both professionally and personally for the man that stands before you here today. Her relentless pursuit of excellence, business savvy, larger than life style, and elegance influenced me greatly. It was an honor and privilege to learn the workings of the business from the best. My success and daily motivation come from the unwavering efforts and input of my management team, staff, and family, of which without them, this dream would be impossible. Through shared family values and collaborative efforts and sacrifices, we run the business like an extended family. It gets a little wild at times, but we always pull through! El tren no para!
