Meet Juan Manuel Cardenas | composer, musical producer and entrepeneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Juan Manuel Cardenas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juan Manuel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My mentality of dreaming big, I was born in Bogotá, Colombia in a low-income neighborhood, with all the odds against me, experiencing social problems for young people such as gangs, drugs, and I understood that only I was the one who could change my future, being responsible for my decisions, using my gifts, one of them music, to grow and fulfill my dreams and inspire young people and children who come from there

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
my main differentiator is to tell a real story in the first person, dreamer, composer, music producer, barber, deejay, writer, sculptor, I have been everything I wanted to be, and each gift has been my right hand, for example being a barber was my bridge with artists, managers and businessmen to show them my talent. In this way, being surrounded by the greats of the industry, I learned how music businesses work, what I must do to be successful with my music and merchandise company.
I was very quiet, I just paid close attention to conversations while I cut their hair and imagined when I was doing my business at that moment.
I have been a lucky man in life, nothing was easy for me, it is from here that I developed skills and motivations to not stop and follow the desires of my heart.
One of the main lessons I learned is that being a good person and seeing the other as myself, not hurting him, being honest, loyal, upright, has a reward, Jesus says in the Bible you must forgive up to 70 times 7, if there is no resentment or pain in your heart you will vibrate in love and that is how success comes.
I want the world to know that within each one of us there is a God co-creator of our reality, we are made in the image and likeness of God, therefore we can do the same works and even greater (says the Bible)
and that faith is very powerful, the example is me that against all odds I am a successful man with prosperous businesses, generator of jobs and inspiration of young people, everything you can imagine is real.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take him to the sea. and I would invite him to a week in which disconnecting from everything will make him meet him, the sea is one of the main rooms of my house, I am always in it, I come from it and I live in it, I like to write, compose and eat in the therefore the week would start landing on an island.
turn off your cell phone and think for a moment about just being happy, more of my friends will be on the island, it may be that you meet the love of your life hahaha (if you don’t have it yet) music with good vibrations, healthy food, excellent conversations , sport because you can not miss the beautiful soccer and we would also give ourselves the opportunity to practice whatever he likes of course.
I am completely sure that at the end of the week and on the flight back home, he is a completely renewed person and above all that he has learned to find the magnificence of creation in the small details.

of course my horse hahahaha to my country, to the young dreamers of the world, to my parents yolanda and alfonso, my brothers alfonso, yesenia and sebastian, my son karlo, my girlfriend Andrea, family, friends, my neighborhood, to each of the people who connect with my heart when listening to my music and buying my products.
