We had the good fortune of connecting with Judy Abad and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Judy, what inspires you?
I am inspired by the moments I get to share with my clients on making their event special. Feedback, relationships I build through the process, going the extra mile, and making a vision come true is what inspires me in this business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I started this business, I was working at a law firm as a social media coordinator. Although I enjoyed my job, I quickly grew the hunger to pivot and focus full time on my business. It took a lot of planning and coordinating with my husband to take this leap. It was not easy putting most of the financial stress back on my husband after being a stay at home mom in the past but we knew if we did it before, we could do it again. The journey since then has been so worth it. I have been able to spend more time at home with my family while also making more connections and accepting more orders. I have learned a lot throughout this journey, I think if there’s any advice I would put out there, is to trust in God’s plan for your life. You have to take risk’s and put yourself out there because success comes from being uncomfortable and standing out. Prepare yourself for the hiccups along the way simply by believing in yourself and staying focused on the plan ahead.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Miami, there is so much to do! A few things I would have to recommend to do would be is to go out on a boat or rent a jetski, visit the everglades and maybe do an airboat tour, visit the wynwood night life, and of course Miami beach. Places to eat that i would recommend would have to be Flanigans, divieto, coopers hawk, schneblys winery in homestead, and the wharf.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I think a lot of people that I hold dear to my heart play a roll in my success. First, I have to give all the glory to God. I felt like I have always been failing when he was just redirecting me. I never would of imagined myself doing this but I am blessed that it has happened this way. Next, I would like to mention my husbands grandmother Celeste.. She was the one who gave me a DIY charcuterie board set for Christmas 2021 and after playing around with it, I decided to turn it into a business. Next, my dear sweet husband Leo. He has been my biggest supporter along with investing his own money and time into helping me grow this business. He is the only one who has seen me staying up crazy late and waking up before anyone else to fulfill orders and attend events. Thank you for believing in me baby! Next, Eileen for being my guide and charcuterie mentor angel for the last couple of months. She is amazing and has blessed me more than she knows.  The last person I want to personally acknowledge is Jeanette Davila from Rooted In Her because she has been a mental mentor for me and through her women’s empowerment event, I have grown so much. The authenticity of her intentions are everything to me! I wouldn’t be where I am today without my clients and support. Lastly, I also thank my abuela, tias, all of my family and friends that have supported me by either placing an order, reposting me, or spreading the word! Thank you to everyone who believes in me and continues to play apart in this journey!
