We had the good fortune of connecting with Julia & Kayla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julia & Kayla, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Back Talk- The Podcast is our willingness to change . Since the beginning of our show we have had a bit of an experimental approach. We introduce new segments, reframed the format, rebranded our look and our audience has been receptive of it. We feel as though through this process, we can continue to grow and evolve as as brand.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Back Talk- The Podcast started on Twitter of all places. A playful joke between friends became a hobby, a passion, and has evolved into a brand we are extremely proud of. We overcame so many challenges from the inception of the show. We are both podcast enthusiasts, and love the art form, yet are far from technologically savvy. Through the past 3 years, we’ve learned to not be afraid of change, to not be afraid to try new things, and it doesn’t have to be perfect from the beginning. We’re still learning and developing everyday.The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others.
