Hi Julio, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Although I am an individual who leans more towards spirituality than religiosity, the saying, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” still holds profound significance in my life. I have come to realize that I find greater happiness when I am engaged in acts of giving. When I was younger, I made the decision to follow in my father’s footsteps and pursue a career as a dentist. Initially, I lacked a fervent passion for this profession. However, over time, I naturally developed a profound passion for dentistry and the opportunity it presented to assist others. I discovered that my purpose in life is to be a healer, and the act of healing in its various forms ignited a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment within me.

Having spent over 25 years in this profession, I have uncovered a new purpose that brings me immeasurable joy: philanthropy. There is nothing that brings me greater happiness than extending a helping hand to impoverished children, offering them hope through improved health and access to education, ultimately paving the way for a brighter future. While my career has been incredibly fulfilling, I recognized that I was limited to impacting one person at a time. However, my involvement with Angels for Humanity, a charitable organization, opened doors for me to leverage my skills as a dentist to make a more significant impact on the world. In 2018, I had the privilege of leading their inaugural dental mission trip to Haiti, and since then, my commitment to philanthropy has only deepened.

While our efforts bring smiles and hope to impoverished children in Miami and across the globe, the true source of my joy and happiness lies in what I receive in return. True happiness, for me, emanates from selflessly giving of myself for the greater good of those in need. It is an unconditional contribution that transcends personal gains and focuses solely on making a positive difference in the lives of others.

I have discovered that my happiness lies in the act of giving and finding purpose through making a meaningful impact. Being able to extend my skills as a dentist to help those in need has been a transformative experience. It has allowed me to give back on a larger scale and has filled my life with an unparalleled sense of joy.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As I celebrate 24 years in business, reaching this significant milestone prompts deep reflection on the path that has led to my success. What truly defines success? Is it measured by profits, longevity, or the enduring impact we create? In my heart, I firmly believe that I was placed on this planet to bring healing to others. Early in my career, I consciously made the decision to strive for excellence in my field, dedicating myself to mastering all aspects of dentistry in order to better serve my patients.

This journey has not always been easy. It has tested my patience and resolve, and at times, felt long and arduous. Yet, with hindsight as my guide, I can confidently affirm that every triumph and setback has shaped me into a more compassionate and committed healer. During my formative years, I engaged in various sports, confronting numerous challenges. I may not have been the strongest or the fastest, but I refused to succumb to adversity. Even when I contemplated quitting, my coaches and parents instilled in me an unwavering belief that quitting was never an option. Though I resented their insistence at the time, I now look back with profound gratitude. They taught me the value of seeking alternative paths and expanding my perspective. When one approach faltered, they encouraged me to change course and embrace new strategies. Fearlessly embracing change became a cornerstone of my journey, particularly in building a successful business. In the face of setbacks, I learned to persist and push forward, even when all seemed lost.

Indeed, setbacks have been valuable teachers along the way. While some setbacks required only a brief recovery, others left me in debt for years. Yet, looking back, I am grateful for every experience, recognizing that each one played a vital role in shaping me into the person I am today.

Today, my passion for learning and healing continues to fuel me. I am an insatiable bookworm, constantly seeking knowledge and honing my skills to become a better provider. Moreover, I have been granted the privilege to share my expertise with others, both in the fields of dentistry and facial aesthetics. Over the years, I have cultivated a unique skill set, and it is my utmost desire to impart this knowledge to others, enabling them to make a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.

In conclusion, what sets me apart in my business is not merely the number of years I have been in operation, but rather, the unwavering passion, perseverance, and commitment to growth that have propelled me forward. I have learned to embrace change, even in the face of adversity, and have discovered that setbacks are catalysts for personal and professional transformation. With a thirst for knowledge and a genuine desire to heal, I continue to evolve, humbly recognizing that my experiences have shaped me into a better person and a more compassionate provider.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a native of Miami, I take immense pride in my city and have witnessed its remarkable transformation over the years. Miami, the city that never sleeps, caters to diverse preferences, ensuring there is something for everyone. Whether you seek the tranquility of a breathtaking sunrise by the ocean or the vibrant atmosphere of bustling bars and restaurants, Miami offers an array of options.

One of my favorite ways to kickstart the day is with a leisurely stroll along the Miami Beach boardwalk. Stretching from 5th street to well past the 40’s, the boardwalk provides a serene ambience in the early morning hours, shortly after sunrise. It serves as an excellent opportunity to rejuvenate and perhaps sweat out the remnants of last night’s festivities. Remaining close to the water is an integral part of Miami’s allure, and the city boasts numerous activities to revel in its coastal charm. From leisurely boat rides through scenic channels to docking at sandbars for a memorable experience, the captivating views from the water are bound to evoke a smile.

After disembarking on dry land, be sure to treat yourself to a culinary adventure at one of Miami’s countless restaurants. Following a day on the water, my taste buds often crave seafood, and there’s nothing quite like savoring a whole fried fish from Fifi’s. Fresh and flavorful, this dish, accompanied by a side of black beans and rice, evokes a sense of home and comfort—a taste of the familiar cuisine I grew up with.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Reflecting on the successes in my life, I am filled with immense gratitude for the countless individuals who have played a pivotal role in shaping me into the person I am today. First and foremost, I am eternally thankful to my parents, whose unwavering love and unconditional support have been the bedrock of my journey. They courageously immigrated to this country, working tirelessly to provide my sister and me with opportunities they themselves never had. Their sacrifices have been the cornerstone of my accomplishments.

Additionally, I am deeply grateful for my sister Mirti, who has always stood by my side, offering unwavering support and companionship throughout the highs and lows of life. To the teachers, coaches, and mentors who went above and beyond their duty, propelling me forward and fostering an environment in which I could thrive, I extend my heartfelt appreciation. It is through their guidance and belief in my potential that I have been able to excel.

To the dedicated staff, both past and present, who have supported me throughout my career, I am truly grateful. It is through our collective efforts, fueled by teamwork and collaboration, that dreams are transformed into reality. Each of you has played an integral part in my achievements.
