Meet Jurgita Stahlecker | Designer and Founder of JURGI Brand

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jurgita Stahlecker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jurgita, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One aspect of my industry that outsiders may not realize is the personal investment entrepreneurs make when starting a creative business. From the inception of an idea to the development of a brand, an immense amount of oneself is poured into every aspect. As a result, each setback or failure in the business journey can feel like a personal blow. However, it’s essential to understand that while the brand reflects a part of me, it doesn’t encompass my entire identity. It’s a distinct entity, born from my creativity and passion but separate from my complete self. This nuanced perspective is crucial for maintaining resilience and perspective in facing challenges.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets JURGI Brand apart is our unwavering commitment to quality and longevity. Unlike many others, we don’t focus on flashy branding; instead, we let the quality of our products speak for themselves. That’s why you won’t find prominent logos adorning the exterior of our bags. We take pride in offering timeless designs that prioritize functionality and durability over fleeting trends. We’re most proud of our dedication to providing customers with reliable, long-lasting products that stand the test of time.
Reflecting on my journey, I realize that while I may not perceive my achievements as significant, the unwavering support of my family and friends has been instrumental in my professional growth. Their encouragement and reminders of my progress, from crafting individual bags to establishing a company, have kept me grounded and motivated.
Navigating the path to where I am today wasn’t necessarily easy or hard; rather, it felt natural because I pursued what I genuinely love. Despite facing challenges and experiencing bad days, I’ve learned that passion and commitment can make the journey smoother. However, the most significant challenge I encountered was overcoming my self-doubt.
Initially, I struggled with viewing myself as synonymous with my brand, leading to setbacks in the business and feeling like a personal failure. Over time, I’ve learned to separate my identity from the brand and understand that setbacks do not reflect my worth. Instead, my belief in the brand and unwavering commitment to its growth has been pivotal.
Realizing that my dedication and belief in my brand are the driving forces behind its success has been a powerful lesson. It has taught me the importance of resilience, self-belief, and perseverance in overcoming challenges and achieving my goals.
