We had the good fortune of connecting with Kal Alami and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kal, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Tac One Training LLC provides men, women and supervised children the knowledge needed to handle firearms in a safe and legal manner. As a believer in our constitutional right to bear arms, I feel every citizen has the responsibility of exercising their rights safely and legally. As a police officer, I’ve witnessed many situations where carrying a firearm could have saved a victims life. I’ve also seen dangerous situations where firearms are kept unsafe in homes/cars due to lack of knowledge. My course helps provide the training required to be a responsible gun owner. By carrying safely and responsibly, you can potentially save you and your loved ones lives. Hands on training ensures no student leaves without everything they need to know about buying, carrying, using, storing and handling a firearm legally and safely.

What should our readers know about your business?
I became a National Rifle Association firearms instructor well before I pursued a career in law enforcement. I’ve always had a passion for training and teaching, especially firearms. I am a part-time instructor at Palm Beach State College Criminal Justice Institute where I train police recruits on firearms, defensive tactics, first aid and driving. I am a teacher by nature and passionate about guiding our future law enforcement. Tac One Training felt like a natural next move in my life. Opening a company based off of my passion has been nothing short of amazing. I’m able to interact in my community and have helped hundreds of men, women and children obtain their concealed weapon permit to be responsible gun owners. What sets Tac One Training apart is my passion for teaching, my patience and my experience of firearms and education that spans over a decade.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots to practice my shooting is Shoot Straight in West Palm Beach. We could hit the gun range and then grab lunch at my favorite spot, Don Chepos in Wellington for tacos and margaritas. The evening could end in downtown Delray or West Palm Beach for great night life on Atlantic Ave or Climatis St.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this “shoutout” to my wife who has done nothing but support me from day one.
