We had the good fortune of connecting with Kala Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kala, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Growing up I always wanted to be my own boss, but as life happens we lose sight of our childhood dreams. I started working at 16 in high school and after graduation I didn’t go to college I just worked two jobs. Fast forward after 7 years and probably over 7 jobs I realized that working for someone else is just not for me. I felt as I work extra hard and always willing to pick up extra shifts or be a leader amongst staff. I started thinking what if I put all of those leadership skills and passion into myself, and what kind of impact that would have on my life and legacy.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I consider myself a serial entrepreneur/digital entrepreneur. My main business is trading in the Forex market. I used to be with a company but I trade independently now, and I use my social platforms to spread awareness about something that is so foreign and has such negative connotations attached to it. I don’t have a team for anyone to join but I love just helping people who are interested and want better than a 9-5. I also provide intuitive business/life coaching to small business owners who maybe struggling or just need encourage. I pride myself in learning about several non traditional ways to acquire wealth. My main goal is to just show people that there are ways outside of what we may have been taught. On this journey I’ve learned that taking risk is important if you want abnormal results because when you stay in your comfort zone opportunities are very limited and we are limitlesss beings so we must not let fear of the unknown keep us in stagnant situations.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I honestly don’t go out much I’m the friend that comes out on occasion and everyone is shocked to see lol. I do enjoy bayside and the boat tours. Miami Mojito Company in Wynwood is also a nice place to hang out and have great drinks. Most importantly the beach you can’t come down south In this beautiful weather and not hit up the beaches.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am a lover of a good book, I will narrow this down three in no particular order. “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz, “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho, and also “ Think and Grow Rich”, by Napoleon Hill. You may notice a theme about these books they’re mostly “spiritual enlightenment” books but I’m a firm believer in success starts in the spiritual aspect before it shows up in the physical so it’s imperative that we become who want to be internally first. Over the years I’ve acquired several mentors and influences from different career fields and I’m grateful for and credit them all for my success so I couldn’t possibly narrow it down.
