Meet Karina Ricaurte | Food Blogger

We had the good fortune of connecting with Karina Ricaurte and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Karina, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I really just enjoy being able to share good food with people. Even before I started my food page, people would always ask me for food recs & I thought to myself “why not start a page where I can share all the fun & yummy places I go to”? It’s overall so much fun. I also really enjoy being able to highlight all types of restaurants, especially small businesses. I love being able to showcase diverse types of foods and establishments whether it be in my city or when I’m traveling around. My goal is to ensure that when someone is craving something, they can go to my food page and be able to see something they like and may not have tried/visited before and trust that they’ll have a good experience there!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Honestly, I have an endless list of places that I want to visit so I’m never really running out of spots to review. Anytime I’m driving around I take a look at what’s around me and I’ll write it down in my notes app so I can plan my next visit. I’m also always open to doing collaborations with local restaurants – being able to visit those places and give them a shoutout on my page is really gratifying. I do have a full time job but I am really looking to grow my food page and brand in 2025 and maybe one day I will be able to do this full time as I’m really passionate about it and want to be able to dedicate it to myself fully.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man, that’s so tough! I’ve showcased plenty of amazing places on my food page (karieatz) but some of my faves are
Breakfast/brunch: The Gem Eatery, Bagels & Co., Saffrano, Crack’d Kitchen, RH Rooftop
Lunch/dinner: Scuola E Vecchia, Chilangos, Takato, Pasta &, Serious Dumplings, Jholanos Deli, Sushiato, The Namu
Drinks: South Bar & Kitchen, Divieto, Sixty Vines, Hawkers Delray,
Dessert: Yonutz Sunrise, Duck Donuts, Mama YaTai, Larry’s Ice Cream, Mojo Donuts

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely my boyfriend, family & friends. They’ve always supported me and are always ready to come with me on my food adventures! I also cannot forget all of the small/local business who have collaborated with me and invited me to their restaurants to showcase their amazing food and service – I wouldn’t have a following without them and for that I am forever grateful!
