Meet Karla Dascal | Chief Love Officer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Karla Dascal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Karla, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The process has been an organic journey of personal growth.

I came from a very stressful career in the event business. I didn’t have any wellness routines, or a balanced understanding about nutrition and wellness then, but I knew something needed to change.

Despite my success, my declining health with obesity and diabetes diagnosis led me to embark on my own spiritual journey to find purpose and health. By re-aligning and redesigning my life, I was able to create a life that feels authentic, whole, and purposeful, where my lifestyle, family and business ventures co-exist within this integrative framework.

Through my own healing process, I have been able to set the pillars of what is known as The Sacred Space Miami and Paradise Farms. My primary goal is to offer the community the education, experiences and tools for their own healing, and experiences to elevate themselves.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

My work will always reflect a part of my own evolution. Education, Community, Impact, Nutrition and Regeneration are at the core of everything we do. I’ve noticed throughout the years that as I keep evolving on a personal level, my businesses do the same. It is part of an evolution and allowing ourselves to shed the layers that we have outgrown, so we can keep redefining, expanding, and doing good work for ourselves and for the planet.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I will take them to a farmers’ market. I love the ambience that is created there. We have our own booths at Legions Parks and Pinecrest once the season starts. It’s a weekend activity that I adore to do with friends and family. *The Everglades National Park is a 1.5-million-acre wetlands preserve on the southern tip of the state of Florida. The Everglades is made up of coastal mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods that are home to hundreds of animal species. Among the Everglades’ abundant wildlife are the endangered leatherback turtle, Florida panther and West Indian manatee. It is an extraordinary ecosystem to visit and explore.

At the southern tip of Miami Beach, you’ll find South Pointe Park, a greenspace that offers panoramic views of the South Beach Shoreline and the skyline of downtown Miami. The perfect spot to run, walk, bike, or skate around the park to take in the views of the city all around you. It is one of my favorite spots in town.
