Hi Kenya, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind me starting my own business was I didn’t want to work for someone else. I didn’t want to make someone else wealthy if it wasn’t me. I always wanted my own business since I was younger. So I had to start doing my research on what I wanted my business to be that Is a 5 star salon.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So I am a Beauty Esthetician, I am the proud owner of Accessorizewithkey Llc. I provide Lash Extensions, Brow Wax & Tinting, Nail Extensions Services, and I teach Lash Classes. I am located in Miami Gardens. What sets me apart from others is that I love to make my clients feel and look even more beautiful. I love to give them the experience and luxury of their services. Professionally it took me sometime to get where I am today. I had to go through many trails to make sure that I get it right to have the successful business I dreamed and desire of. It was easy and it wasn’t easy at the same time. It’s easy to figure out what you want to do and how you want it to look. The not so easy was bring it to life I overcame this by telling my self I can do this and giving up is not in my blood lol. I kept pushing and I am going to keep pushing. Some of the lessons I learned is that you can’t take everyone with you. Starting a business will make you realize who’s there and who’s isn’t. It’ll make you want to change as a person as you grow with your business. It’ll make you want to elevate and want to be around other that successful. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I don’t get much lol but we would go to the movies, the lounge, the beach, the club, wynwood, bacon bitch (love that place), hard rock, extreme park. That’s just a few things we would do.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of Course I want to give credit to my husband Joey who always believe in me and always helped me. My mom for continuing to tell people about my talents and bringing me clients. My clients, and most importantly Me because without me believing in myself knowing that I can and I am successful and have a successful business. Also my Bestfriend for letting me practice on her lol to get my content in and build my portfolio. And anyone else that let me practice on them I love y’all.
