We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristen Stefiuk and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristen, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Many years ago, I found myself in a tough spot in life, overwhelmed and anxious, with few tools to help me navigate these challenging times. I began to delve into the healing world outside of Western medicine. I learned about energy healing, meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, crystals, chakras, and many different ways to begin to heal myself. I attended trainings in many different modalities over the years including, Mediumship, Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, crystal healing, sound healing and more. I have always had a drive to help others be their highest and best selves. I went to college to become a teacher with a minor in special education and it’s a full circle ride to finally be using that degree in my 40’s! I teach a class each week called Zen and friends to adults with disabilities at the PLUS company in Nashua, NH. It is truly a dream to be able to work with children and adults, of all ages and backgrounds, to help them bring healing into their life. My passion for this work is endless and I am grateful to have so many beautiful opportunities to guide others to find their light.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started my business and had my first event in February of 2020. I hosted a self love soiree for Valentines Day with some other beautiful businesses, and it was a great success. Unfortunately, the next month, March 2020 was the start of a worldwide pandemic. My business hadn’t even had a chance to get going before the world shut down. I quickly pivoted and began to offer online Reiki sessions to help people navigate such an unsettling time. On my personal Facebook page each week during the initial pandemic, I hosted Wednesday wisdom with Kristen. It was meant as an offering to the kids who were learning from home, confused and scared about what was happening at the time. Slowly, my business began to open back up in person and has continued to pick up steam over the past year. My true passion is helping others find their own healing potential and take their power back. We have so much innate healing wisdom within us, when we give ourselves the time and space to listen. I am excited about the future of Guiding Light Sunset and look forward to my growth over the next few years. I hope to evolve my meditation class to a worldwide offering someday. I am thrilled to be able to start incorporating sound healing into my sessions also, as sound has been a massive tool in my growth. I am planning to begin offering Reiki trainings as well later this year. My crystal kids and energy teens sessions are another area that fuels me, and I hope to be able to help many more children over the years as welI. I like to remind all of my clients that YOU heal you, and I am happy to be a tool and guide to help you remember how to do the work! Healing is not linear, but when we surround ourselves with the right support and guidance anything is possible!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I was just recently in Miami with my family and we loved hanging out in South Beach and visiting some of the amazing restaurants in the area.. We always enjoy checking out different areas and people watching in new places! We were blessed to eat at Nobu Miami for one of the best dinners we have ever had!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am so blessed to have the support of my amazing family and friends. There are a few people I would like to recognize including my “other mother” Cindy Bouzan who I have known for almost 40 years. We grew up next door to eachother and she has always served as my honorary mother, and has stepped up even more this last year after the sudden loss of my beautiful mother Diane. I don’t know who I would be without her. I’d like to thank my incredible mentor turned close friend Becka Crowe. I met her through Instagram a few months before the pandemic and she has been a pivotal piece of my healing journey the past few years. Her wisdom, knowledge, guidance and endless support means everything to me. Another person is my Guru as I call him, Jeffrey Charles Warren. He is a healing arts instructor and also my Reiki Master. He leads the most incredible soundbaths and has been a huge part of my training and growth. I admire him very much! These are just a few of the people who have encouraged me on my spiritual journey. I would also like to thank my husband of twenty years Nick and my children Ellison and Nikolai, for always being my biggest supporters and cheerleaders! Thank you for loving me endlessly.”
