Meet Lah | Artist, Singer, Producer, & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lah, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
First, I wanna say thank you guys for having mee<3
So, honesty it came natural to me. I always felt songs that I listen to; if that make sense lolol. Rihanna, Janet, Lady Gaga, & Nicki Minaj were my biggest inspirations when I was a toddler. I would catch myself watching “powerpuff girl tributes” videos on YouTube over & over again just to listen to “Disturbia” lmaooo.
When I was in 7th grade I realized how attainable that dream really was. But, I didn’t start taking it serious till 16 foreal. Garage band was my best friend n people actually like my music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Alot of lessons have been learned lmao, trust is really something u build slowly and 2 little red flags can really f*** up all your plans if you’re not careful! That’s I big one I fear looolll.
Regardless I’m currently still building my Dream team to help make my dreams into a consistent stream of content and music for my fans. It’s a long process being independent but, these music videos… they really embody what I felt recording the tracks, the videos even show a different or theatrical lens! This first one is taking some perfecting but, the flow is established and is so, ready for this roll out I have set! >.<

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Omg I always tell my girls when they visit they need to go to a local Miami event ! Weather your an artist of any kind or not, people from Miami are super friendly and just like to have a good time. I wanna shout out my homie @alwayslunes on instagram! He always has local events posted every single week and is part of a bigger project of making Miami a more connected community.
The Jamaican food here is authentic and delicious & I would take them to the beach. Day or night it’s always such a soothing vibe.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Omg! I would love love to shout out my sisters SiNNY N0VA, Cherry X, Cortisa Star, Jade Valentina ,& Baeby Alex ! There music is too good! They are the mosttt talented women i know and they deserve so many bookings n blessing ! They have inspired me n spoke love into me in so many ways <3 Onyx Nobunaga is also such a talented male artist tht has help me tremendously through tough times so, he will always have a special place in my heart fr<3
