We had the good fortune of connecting with LaMeshia Conley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaMeshia, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance has changed over time. When I was freelancing before I seriously started my business I had more time to invest in my business. I didn’t get my LLC until after my second child was born and saw the need to stop trading time for money.
And I had to be more strategic with my if I wanted to have family time and business time. Before last year I was all in on business. I wasn’t very balanced lol. But once my child told her teacher all I do is work I straightened that out real quick. So now my time matters more than ever. Everything is blocked and I actually get more done. Less daydreaming and more results.
It’s still a work in progress but better than before ☺️
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I freelanced for 7 years before I got serious about my business. I invested thousands in coaching and consulting in my business while trying to make money. I started my LLC in 2019. And in 2020 I utilized Clubhouse for all my business seminars and talks. I learned that people really make five and six figure months. Before then I had never heard of such things. I found out in 2021 it would take more than personal development to help my business grow. It took spiritual development. I was on the path to become a whole person inside and out. 2021 I learned I didn’t have business boundaries and refunded a lady $1000 worth of services even though the work was already done. 2022 I had to pick up a job and do my business on the side because I could no longer do it full time.
2023 is when I developed spiritually and my whole life shifted. Half way through the year God told me I was a business midwife and I restructured my personal brand as such so that I could provide value about the science of marketing using kingdom principles. My marketing agency is still in motion but my focus is on helping entrepreneurs birth their business ideas. I use digital products to create five figure months and I enjoy being myself to my community inside of Patreon. I believe this year is the year of community building. People need relationships outside of selling. Belonging is where it’s at!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestie was coming from out of town I would of course go to Brassica or Piada to eat. I’ve been more on eating clean and she should be too lol. Then we need to do a show of some sort at the theatre or a collegiate sport activity. We don’t have to know the game lol. It will still be a fun time 🤩.
We need to see if there is a concert in town too because what’s life without music. I would prolly get the girlies together for a vision casting on business and maybe do a prayer session with it. My friends are like me. We get to the bag, help each other do it, and we pray mkay. Did I say that already? Last but not least we will shop because why not? Everything is content 😝 my bestie is frugal so we might find ourselves thrifting 🤭 but what does it hurt to go to Easton and live it up 🫣🤭.
Talk about a week long photo dump!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My success comes from knowing my inheritance in the Kingdom. Thanks to God my Father, my family support, my circle and the mentorship from my spiritual mother.
