We had the good fortune of connecting with Larnett Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larnett, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I feel that actually writing down your plan and being consistent are two habits that help businesses succeed. And that stands true for me and my brand.

Having a written plan sets clear expectations and deadlines which keep you on task and accountable. It’s your roadmap to your goal.

A written plan also clearly articulates your goals, objectives and strategies to stakeholders and investors.

“Consistency is the key” a quote everyone is familiar with but, what does it actually mean to me? To me it means forming good habits that strengthen the overall health of my business. For example: one way of increasing the visibility of my brand is through social media. Part of my marketing plan is to be consistent in posting informative content, daily, on my business socials.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m Owner/Esthetician at SKINN MIA a boutique skincare spa in the heart of south beach Miami.

I recently launched my own brand of anti-aging skincare products, Liscia by SKINN. It is a line of medical grade skincare products that treat skin at a cellular level to promote tighter, smoother, healthier skin. Skin that glows is the goal right? The products can currently be found on our website but, they will soon be featured in a few boutique hotels.

My esthetics business is small and that allows me to cater to a select group of high-end clients. We offer a varied list of luxury spa services. But what we are most known for is our facials because there is nothing basic about our basic facial. We use Liscia by SKINN products, of course. Our clients rave about the look and feel of their skin after just one treatment.

What sets us apart is that our business grew through word of mouth. Our success is heavily based on the referrals from our clients.

To coin another phrase “results matter”. When people see the results of our skincare treatments they want in. Our goal is for more people to see. So thank you for this opportunity to spread the word.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Sunday- Head to the beach to watch the sunrise because there’s nothing more beautiful than the sun rising over the ocean. Coffee at Crema, 9am yoga at Faena followed by a Pranic healing massage, a light lunch on the beach and back to the yoga room at 3pm for the twin Hearts Meditation class. Then dinner & wine at Macchialina. Insider note: order the egg plant starter and splurge by adding black truffles to your pasta.

Monday- Take a morning walk on the board walk and stop at The Betsy for coffee. Make it a day of culture starting with the Bass Museum and then the Perez. Lunch at Little Hen in Midtown and shopping in the Miami Design District. Since we are already there dinner at Swan.

Tuesday- Explore Wynwood grabbing a bite at 1-800 Lucky and a slice of pie at Fireman Dereck’s.

Wednesday- If the sun is shining walk or bike across the Venetian, mani/pedi at The Standard Spa which comes with a day pass to enjoy the sauna, steam room, cold room, hamam, pool and cold plunge. Then watch the sunset as we have dinner outside at Lido.

Thursday- Lunch at Oh Mexico on Lincoln Rd, walk to enjoy the shops, home for a nap then dinner at Queen and stay for the show. Followed by drinks on the roof at Gitano.

Friday- Walk on the beach followed by a facial at SKINN (of course), grab a fresh smoothie at Jus by Julie, dinner at Chica, then go to the Edition South Beach to dance with the live R&B band followed by late night at The Basement where there’s a bar, a DJ, a bowling alley and an ice skating rink!

Saturday- Relax on the beach, Cecchioni for a salad and drinks, dinner at Cafe Avanti. Insider tip order the grilled octopus starter and if you like cheese the shrimp Parmesan.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My kids deserve a lot of the credit in my story. My husband passed away when my kids were fairly young, so, I took on the role of head of household and head cheerleader for my kids. When they all became adults they started encouraging me. Whenever I would say “I can’t” they would respond with “Why not” or “Yes you can?”

So shout out to Brooke, Halie, Alex and Perman III.
