We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Israel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My though process behind starting Stacey Israel Bridal was

Having the desire to continue my career in the Beauty business after Neiman Marcus closings in Bellevue WA. I had been a Beauty ambassador for 11years working for luxury Cosmetic lines.

This was the perfect recipe for being an on-site beauty stylist incorporating hair styling as well as skincare & makeup.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

SIB (Stacey Israel Bridal) is an on-site beauty service bizz that provides pro- hair & makeup for Brides their parties & Special Occasions.
I work solo & have a team of beauty pros for medium to large events.

Although SIB is black-woman- owned my client base is very diverse which I do take pride in as is quite unique “beauty has no boundaries” & every woman is beautiful.

Being well rounded & working w/other amazing peeps asking for assistance when needed being versatile working well under pressure meeting deadlines is also an asset.

What sets me apart from others is the value of having impeccable guest service it’s very personal & intimate styling someone’s hair & applying skincare & color.

I got my start as a print work model & makeup artist that worked w/photograpgher clothing & swimwear designers. From there visual artistry &
Selling cosmetics. Deep down always wanted my own line.

Beauty is a ministry & being an expert at bringing a youthful glow to women of every age & shade is super important. The joy in the faces of guests when they look in the mirror is priceless.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My Besty will more than likely be coming from Seattle so on her first arrival I’d give her some time to chill & rest from the jet lag & long flight. Dinner we’d explore Brickell Miami have an after dinner walk w/espresso

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a shout out to my husband Lawrence who’s always been supportive encouraging me to focus on doing what I love sharing talents & gift of beauty & music (my other passion)
