We had the good fortune of connecting with Lathysha Semper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lathysha, what makes you happy? Why?
What make me happy is following in the path that God has for me and to be obedient to every need and situation built just for me. It helped me find my purpose. Which is to help others find purpose to operate in their calling to pursue destiny.
Once I understood what my purpose was in life it was like a bright light within me shinning from the inside out. It does not matter if it’s helping someone find a vacation package or coaching a client the hospitality in me shines and it bring fulfillment.
What should our readers know about your business?
In 2018 after being laid off I decided to open a travel agency “Simply Semper Travels, LLC” and took a leap of faith. What sets me apart with my agency is we build relationships with our suppliers and clients. I believe every journey starts with a relationship no matter where you decide to go and who you decide to do business with. I am most proud of being able to keep the travel agency running during the pandemic when the world was on lock down regardless of the no travel ban.
The most excitement during the shutdown of 2020 was opening a coaching business “Self Parency, LLC” as personal transformation life coach. How I got to this level business wise was keeping my eyes on God and not quitting when it felt like it was getting harder, the vision and the people is important to me. Of course, it was not an easy journey but a wild one to travel through. The biggest lessons were everyone who says they want to help is not there to help you.
All yeses are not good yeses and what is meant for you will find you no matter what just stick to your vision and never think small. What the world needs to know about me is I am a Child of God, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, CEO, Founder, Philanthropist, and a change agent to change the nation and bring light to the World. A person who exemplifies light to others for them to shine from the inside out.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh yes!!! something I love doing exploring and showing people to have fun. it would be a Sunday to Sunday adventure in Florida. Sunday-Monday: We would start in Treasure Island, Florida one of my favorite places to relax to enjoy some nice soft sand in between our toes and watch the sunset. Stay at the Bilmar Beach Resort this resort offers rooms with kitchen and private balconies or nice viewed window of the beach.
You can also enjoy VIP suites on the top floor with beautiful views. We would enjoy all the amenities and activities included and eat at the famous Sloppy Joe’s Restaurant. The staff there is amazing!!! (Leave late Monday afternoon drive to Orlando) Tuesday-Wednesday: Arrive in Orlando, Florida stay on I-drive (International Drive) stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at Seaworld. This hotel is in the heart of I-drive and all the wonder actives, great restaurants, and entertainment.
Go shopping at the Prime Outlets Mall after going to The Spa at Shingle Creek for a relaxation. At the end of the night go to BB King’s Blue Club to enjoy the food and live music. (Leave late Wednesday after driving down to Miami) Thursday-Friday: Arrive in Miami, Florida stay at the Downtown Miami hotel YVE Hotel in the heart of Miami. Take a Miami boat tour to see the celebrity homes after taking an Uber to South Beach to have dinner on the strip with many restaurants to choose from. Enjoy people watching and the scenery as people drive and walk by you never know who you may see. (Leave late Friday drive to Keywest, Florida) Saturday-Sunday: Arrive in Keywest, Florida Keys stay at the Pier House Resort & Spa, this our time to enjoy a relaxation of peace and tranquility and time to love yourself and self-care.
We would start with breakfast at the resort after breakfast go to the gym for about an hour after the gym. Head to the Catamaran Snorkeling on the reef for about 3 hours once we get back next would be a nice relaxing massage and pedicure spend time in the quiet room of Pier House Resort. After, go into the evening with live music sunset sailing for 2 hours. And, to a enjoy a peaceful night sleep feeling at peace and restful.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This is the BEST part giving a shoutout to those who have made a difference in my life and cheered me on. First, I want to give a shoutout to my husband aka Mr. A Semper he is my number one cheerleader, and he believes in me like no other. I love this man because he chooses to love me and make me happy.
Second, shoutout to one of my best friend Mrs. R Daley who has used every service and purchased every product I’ve brought to her. When you talk about someone supporting you in what you do, she is a true supporter.
Third, shoutout to Cee Jay Besa who is my executive coach and just truly opened my eyes and mind to an unlimited world. He is such a positive speaker and a man of God walking in his purpose. And, for sharing his space when it comes to speaking.
Last but not less I want to shoutout Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts for being a spiritual mentor in my life and helping me see what God placed inside of me. I thank her for stepping into her purpose even when it was uncomfortable.
