We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Lattig and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I am a natural risk taker, always have been. We believe that risks must be taken in order to achieve success. We have sacraficed a lot to get where we are today.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are a three piece alternative rock indie band from Pompano Beach, Fl. We have played many shows and festivals over the years since 2009. Last year we released our first official single “Give it What You Got” out everywhere. We are currently working on our new EP “The Answer” witch will be out in the coming year! I have always known that I wanted to do music after being in symphonic, marching, and jazz band my whole life I basically grew up with music. My parents always had music on in the house and were big dead head fans. Econmically persuing music has not always been easy my familly always wanted me to be a doctor or a lawyer but I’ve always persisted. I’ve learnd that beaing creative is so important in this world and though it may be an uncoventional profssion it still adds a ton of value to today’s society. For us the Ocean represents this amazing natural abundance and life force that represents our brand as a band. Our music is designed to lift people up and make them feel like they can do anything.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I’d definately say the beach. We also have a favorite local music venue called “Tough Times Tavern” where we’ve played many shows.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to all of my origianl founding members of the band Jenna and Larry, as well as all of the great musicians who have played with us over the years. I would also like to shout out our most recent addition to the band Abby our fearless bass player, who has really helped shape the project into what it is today. I was also personally driven by my favorite author Napoleon Hill who wrote “Think and Grow rich” which had made a huge impact on my life and music.
