We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My journey with Laura&EmiliaJewelry has been one of passion, perseverance, and constant learning. What sets my brand apart is the focus on creating unique, meaningful pieces that not only highlight individuality but also tell a story. Every piece is carefully designed to blend elegance and personal expression, using high-quality materials like sterling silver, stainless steel, gold plated 18k and freshwater pearls.
I’m most proud of building a business that reflects my values and creativity while connecting with customers who resonate with the same vision. Seeing people wear my designs with pride is an incredibly fulfilling experience.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, it took hard work, late nights, and navigating countless challenges, especially as a woman entrepreneur. From sourcing the right materials to understanding the intricacies of running a business, every step has been a learning experience. I overcame obstacles by staying true to my vision, being resourceful, and constantly seeking inspiration from those around me, including my family and customers.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success is a journey, not a destination. It’s about showing up every day, learning from mistakes, and celebrating progress.
What I want the world to know about Laura Emilia Jewelry is that it’s more than just a brand, it’s a celebration of individuality and craftsmanship. It’s about empowering people to express themselves with pieces that are timeless, elegant, and meaningful. I hope my story inspires others to follow their dreams, no matter how challenging the road may seem.”
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Miami, I’d make sure they experienced the city’s vibrant culture, stunning views, and diverse culinary scene. Here’s how I’d plan the week:
Day 1: Exploring Wynwood
We’d start in Wynwood, a neighborhood full of life and creativity. We’d walk through the Wynwood Walls to admire the incredible street art and murals, then grab lunch at one of the local restaurants like KYU for modern Asian flavors or Bakan for authentic Mexican cuisine. In the evening, we’d visit a local brewery or enjoy the lively atmosphere of Wynwood Marketplace.
Day 2: Brickell Adventures
Brickell is a must see for its modern charm and family friendly vibe. We’d spend the morning exploring Brickell City Center for shopping and a rooftop lunch at Sugar with its panoramic views. Later, we’d walk along Brickell Bay Drive, enjoying the stunning views of Miami Beach and the bay. For dinner, we’d try La Mar for incredible Peruvian cuisine or head to a hidden gem for a more intimate dining experience.
Day 3: Relaxing at South Pointe Park
One of my favorite places to relax and soak in Miami’s natural beauty is South Pointe. We’d spend the day at the beach, followed by a picnic in the park to enjoy the sunset, it’s truly magical. If we’re up for a splurge, dinner at Smith & Wollensky with its waterfront views is always a treat.
Day 4: Coconut Grove & Key Biscayne
We’d spend a day exploring Coconut Grove, with its charming streets, boho vibes, and great brunch spots like Greenstreet Café. From there, we’d head to Key Biscayne to visit Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. A walk to the historic lighthouse and time on the beach would be the perfect way to end the day.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank two incredible people: my dad and my mom. ❤️ Their hard work, resilience, and unwavering support have shaped me into the woman I am today.
From teaching me the value of dedication to inspiring me with their own determination, they’ve shown me what it takes to dream big and turn those dreams into reality. Laura&Emilia Jewelry wouldn’t exist without the foundation they built and the lessons they’ve instilled in me.
This business is not just a reflection of my passion, it’s a tribute to their love and the inspiration they continue to give me every day.
To my parents: thank you for showing me the way and for believing in me. This journey is for you.
