We had the good fortune of connecting with Leandro Zen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leandro, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I see risk as something inevitable and necessary for growth. In my sector, especially when we talk about fintech and real estate, innovation only happens when we accept a certain degree of uncertainty. Throughout my career, I’ve taken calculated risks that have allowed me to expand my businesses, first in Brazil with a credit fintech, and now in the U.S. with Zink Capital. Each risk brought challenges, but also great rewards. I believe the key lies in balancing boldness with solid data analysis and the support of a strong team. Without risks, there is no real growth.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Zink Capital is a natural evolution of my trajectory in the credit and financing sector in Brazil. What sets us apart is the combination of cutting-edge technology with a personalized approach for each client. We are proud to offer agile and secure financial solutions for the real estate sector in the U.S., with a clear vision of providing consistent returns for investors. The journey hasn’t been easy. There were challenges related to adapting to the American market, but I’ve always faced those obstacles with resilience and focus. The main lesson I’ve learned is that you need to adapt quickly and be flexible, but never lose sight of your values and the quality of customer service. What I want the world to know about Zink Capital is that we are driven by the desire to build lasting partnerships and generate value for both our clients and investors.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami has a unique, vibrant energy, so I’d start with a walk on South Beach, a visit to Wynwood Walls to appreciate street art, and dinner at Zuma or Komodo, both known for their incredible cuisine and sophisticated atmosphere. I’d also include a boat ride in Biscayne Bay to see the city’s skyline. Another highlight would be a visit to the Perez Art Museum, followed by brunch in Coconut Grove. For relaxation, we’d spend a day in Key Biscayne, a peaceful island away from the city’s hustle. Miami is a mix of culture, gastronomy, and natural beauty, offering a complete experience.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Throughout my journey, I have been fortunate to receive the support and guidance of many people, but I would especially like to highlight my mentors. In Brazil, one of them was an experienced entrepreneur in the technology and innovation sector who showed me the importance of always seeking creative and efficient solutions for the client. Another key element has been the support of my team, both in Brazil and the U.S., who embraced every challenge with dedication and commitment. In addition, my family has always been by my side, providing emotional support and balance during crucial moments. Without these people, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
