We had the good fortune of connecting with Lilith Ghazan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lilith, what do you want people to remember about you?
Building healthier and more confident communities is the primary goal. Personal trainers are not just experts in exercise science, but also great listeners, motivators, motivation speakers, emotional support system to their clients, great friends, somewhat psychologist. Sometimes, I joke around calling them life coaches. We really do it all. With passion and care. Helping people has always made me happy. Developing my passion towards healthy lifestyle is just one of the spectrum I have focused my career and business on. Seeing clients transforming from tragic car accidents, cancer treatments and years of physical and emotional pains, bad break-ups, financial loss, etc.. to healthy individuals, confident selves, inspired to take business, or relationship, or lifestyle to another level is what makes me happy. I cannot tell you enough how many men and women, or even teenagers, walk into my fitness facility not happy with themselves, uncomfortable with their physical appearance, with multiple health issues (diabetes, addiction, tears, sports injuries) barely making it through the day without any goal or direction towards brighter future. Changing that mindset is the legacy I want to leave behind. It all starts with our brain into thoughts, into words, into reality. I teach them to always try to be better, choose proper nutrition, exercise regularly, stay consistent with goals, be positive and confident in decision making, love and respect self physically, emotionally, internally , and even if they fail, do it again, and fail again, and do it again, and eventually, success will follow. I do not want to be remembered as another trainer from another gym. I want people to remember inspiration and positivity I promote, and, regardless of what my clients do, I always tell them to strive for greatness and give it all.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Overcoming challenges is never easy. That is the beauty of life. Being able to keep business afloat during Covid times has been the biggest challenge in 2020-2021 but, with my work ethics and creative mindset, training people and providing fitness and nutritional services were still provided. We trained outside, in the parks, drive-ways, through zoom; we made it happen, I never gave up on educating and providing my clients with the best tools to improve their health; and they kept pushing and training consistently. As a matter of fact, right after competitions were back to business, my client who trained through lockdown was ready to step on stage in her third bikini competition. We got creative with exercising program, used gallons of water as weights if we needed, tons of banded work, so when gyms opened back up, she was ready. She is a true definition of “no excuses” mentality. That is how I run my business with a strong mindset to always find a solution and make things happen.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Venice, Italy to take a boat ride in sun dresses sipping on warm espresso and laughing our bellies off Then, visit a country that is not even on a map to learn a completely different culture and understand the beauty of opportunities we take for granted every single day But for the best landscaping views and the most delicious food I would take anyone to my Homeland Armenia, a country of the most hospitable people, exotic fruits and vegetables, freshest air and unbelievable scenery from mountains to big cities. One of the funnest things to do their is to take the highest zip-lining ride on the highest mountain next to Tatev Monastery, the most gorgeous scenery of all
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Claudia Knowles, owner of “Iron Compound Gym” , the stringiest gym in South Florida and the best home for my clients and place for personal and business growth.
