We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikicha Charles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikicha, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
As a single mother, the most important thing I’ve done that I believe may have impacted my children is NOT QUIT. Coming from a two parent home and now adjusting to a co-parenting environment could have very well caused them to rebel or deal with the emotions of divorce, but I must say they have soared in ways unimaginable. They saw the struggle of lights being off and turning in cars but not one day did I QUIT. They saw me struggle through corrections academy while cooking three meals and writing a book, they saw my work ethics, and my passion to win and I believe they knew that quitting could never be an option for them EVER because they saw the example first hand.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I ventured into writing a very long time ago. Writing has been an outlet for me because I had a hard to vocalizing at a young age. I found hope in poetry and helping others by telling a story that would pull them out of their world and into mine. Two published books later and a desire for more. I decided I wanted to truly dive into helping corporations and relationships win. So I took a course in Relationship Coaching and implemented Intentional Strategies. I have found that if our intent is mastered then we won’t ever have to try and be perfect. This came from God himself because I on my own could’ve never come up with this. The struggle is getting people to buy into what your selling, at first I wasn’t sure by the moment I started blogging and writing about this, the calls were coming and the appointments were set. What I am most proud of is the fact that I finally am doing what I love. I am proud that corporate America searches for me to do leadership training for their business. I am proud that I decided to dive with no hesitation. This has been a long time coming. I have always loved writing and encouraging people, was it an easy journey , NOT AT ALL. Using personal funds to finance your vision is never easy, trusting gets hard but what if IT WORKS OUT JUST THE WAY GOD PLANNED. Nikicha Charles Enterprises is a brand that speaks to broken people, we empower people to believe in who they are and never stop trying. We as a company have come up with a strategy to help implement proper communication in a business setting as well as in relationship. We find the best possible way to always go above and beyond and exceed expectations in life, business and relationships.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is such a funny question because I’m literally a home body. I don’t go anywhere. But my best friend would definitely have the time of her life. Honestly I would probably call a friend of mine to help me show her a good time. Miami is so big with many beautiful places that we take for granted. I just had the opportunity to drive through the tunnel and that was so amazing. I would want her to eat at Big Pink because I’m a breakfast person and we would have to visit Kitchen 305 for a open mic poetry night. We would attend Church because I’m a Pastor and this is what I enjoy.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Some many people have aided in my success and have been a huge support. Definitely my family who always tells me how great I am and how wonderful my writing is. Truly my church family ( The Point 317) gives me the biggest push. They purchase all my books, listen to my ideas and allow me to implement those ideas in meeting settings which allows my gift to be sharpened. Singles Unleashed believes for me when I don’t. My Bishop James E.Wright who is my mentor in all things business.
