Hi Liudmyla, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Mila’s Beauty Lab – MBL Academy by Krotova was created as a space where artists grow from students to champions, and from champions to professionals recognized at the international level.
My mission, as the founder of the academy, is to transform talent into strength through creativity, discipline, and leadership showing that American beauty education can set a new global standard.

Since 2023, I’ve been serving as the Head National Trainer and International Judge for Team USA at OMC Hairworld the world’s most prestigious beauty championship, where more than sixty countries compete each year. Under my leadership, Team USA achieved a historic record of awards, and our academy became recognized as a true hub of innovation and excellence.
What makes our academy unique is its philosophy of mentorship and continued support. Every graduate remains part of a creative community that grows together, shares knowledge, and continues to evolve beyond competitions.
The true result of my work is reflected in the people who stand behind every victory.
Today, Mila’s Beauty Lab – MBL Academy by Krotova unites a new generation of U.S. champions who represent the country on the global stage and inspire others through their achievements.
Among them, three remarkable champions stand out as examples of innovation and leadership:
Anhelina Pohorielova, creator of the officially registered ARTFORMULA method;
Ilona Hradinaru, founder of the ProTint Method; and
Anna Orlova, developer of the Orlova Championship Brow Technique.
Each of their officially registered author methods has been included in the academy’s advanced professional development program giving new participants access to unique creative systems that have proven their success on the world stage.
Each author’s technique reflects our shared philosophy to educate, inspire, and elevate the next generation of artists who proudly represent the USA.

My thought process was simple I wanted to create something that would last longer than a single competition or title.
A system that gives artists confidence, purpose, and global recognition.
That’s what Mila’s Beauty Lab – MBL Academy by Krotova stands for today a symbol of transformation, strength, and creative freedom.

What should our readers know about your business?
Milas Beauty Lab-MBL Academy by Krotova was born from my vision to create more than a beauty school . I wanted to build a movement that transforms talent into mastery and mastery into recognition. Our academy became the heart of growth for artists who aim to represent the USA on the international stage of OMC Hairworld.
Before moving to the United States, I had already been training professional makeup artists and preparing competitors for international championships. Over the years, I’ve coached many champions who went on to win gold, silver, and bronze medals at some of the most prestigious competitions in the world.
The journey wasn’t easy. I started from scratch in a new country, overcoming countless challenges to prove that with passion, discipline, and mentorship, you can build something truly global. Today, MBL Academy unites talented artists, champions, and educators people who bring their artistry to the world and raise the standards of the beauty industry.

One of my proudest achievements is seeing my students Ilona Hradinaru, Anhelina Pohorielova, and Anna Orlova become international champions and authors of officially registered original techniques now included in our advanced education program. Their success proves that true education empowers creativity, leadership, and confidence.

What I want the world to know is that Milas Beauty Lab – MBL Academy by Krotova is not just about beauty education — it’s about mentorship, creativity, and building confidence. Every artist who comes to us grows not only in skill but also in belief in their own potential and in the power of their art.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For me, the place where I live is not just a location it’s part of my inspiration.
Miami has a special energy that gives you the feeling that everything is possible. The ocean teaches calm and balance, while the city itself gives drive, creativity, and ambition.
If my friends came to visit, I’d show them not just beautiful places, but the rhythm of life that makes this city unique the early mornings by the ocean, the endless light, the people who dream big and work hard.
Miami reminds me every day why I chose this path to create, to teach, and to build something meaningful that connects people through beauty and art.

My biggest gratitude goes to the entire Team USA – Aesthetics Section at OMC Hairworld 2025, whose dedication and talent made history for our country.
I am endlessly proud of every champion who brought light, strength, and artistry to the international stage:
