Meet Liz Lopez | Creative Director & Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liz, why did you pursue a creative career?
I didn’t exactly choose a creative career—it felt more like it chose me. From a very young age, I realized that the only way I could fully process life was through expression: images, words, textures, movement. Creating became the most honest language I had.
Over time, I understood that art wasn’t just a form of self-expression—it was a form of connection. It allowed me to explore intimacy, identity, discomfort, beauty and contradiction—all at once. Pursuing this path professionally felt less like a decision and more like a necessity. I’m not interested in creating noise. I’m interested in creating meaning.
Being a creative also means being in constant evolution. It’s not a safe path, but it’s the one that keeps me most alive. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a creative director working in video and still photography, I’m always searching for the emotional core of every image, every frame, every gesture.
My work is rooted in an empowered vision of womanhood, the beauty in what’s broken, and the idea that sensuality is a weapon—not a tool. I’m drawn to emotion, detail, and care. Every aesthetic choice I make has meaning. My visual language is intentional, intimate, and deeply feminine.
What sets me apart is that I create with feeling. Not for spectacle, not to please, but to connect. There’s power in honesty, and I try to honor that in everything I make.
The biggest challenge hasn’t come from outside—it’s internal. Believing in who you are, standing by your vision, choosing authenticity even when it makes things harder… that’s the real work. Staying true to my creative voice without diluting it has been both my struggle and my path.
I’ve learned that the more honest I am with myself, the more meaningful my work becomes for others. That’s what I’m most proud of—creating from a place that’s real.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a close friend came to visit, I’d keep it real and soulful. We’d start the day by the ocean—maybe a sunrise walk in Surfside or an afternoon swim in Crandon. Then we’d hit a few vintage shops in Little River or Coconut Grove, always hunting for treasures.
At night, we’d catch a live show—I’m lucky to have some talented musician friends always playing around the city. Then maybe wine and good conversation at Lagniappe or a cozy dinner at Boia De.
Miami has layers, and I’d show them the ones that move me most: the sea, art, music, and people with heart.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to the people who’ve supported me throughout my creative path—friends, collaborators, and chosen family who remind me who I am, challenge me, and help me grow.
A special thank you to my sister Lisandra, who introduced me to art when we were just girls. She was the first artist I ever saw up close—and I had the honor of being her muse. Without knowing it, she taught me that creativity could be a way of living, not just a skill. That spark never left me.
There are too many others to name, but each one has left a mark on my journey.
To all of them: thank you. I don’t take your support for granted.
