We had the good fortune of connecting with Liza Soler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liza, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started the “Liza with a Z podcast” in November 2020 during the pandemic. All gyms were closed and events were canceled. This push me to create a platform where fighters could still talk about fights and also shine a spotlight on their fight journey. Over time the podcast has now been featured on many different fight promotions all over the State of Florida. We are now moving in the direction into the music and entertainment industry providing on the scene media broadcasting and interviews.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It is not easy making a name for yourself in the broadcasting industry. There are so many levels, and entertainment is always changing. It’s fast paced and exciting and you never know what can happen on the scene! I love the energy and the hustle of media production.

Opportunities will come and go, some doors may close and others will open. It the name of the game in this industry and you have to be tough and wise enough to know when to step it up. There will also be time where you will need to take a step back to reflect and move in a better direction. There will be a lot of “No’s” along the way, but one day there will be a “Yes” Take advantage of every opportunity and cease the moment.

I take pride in my work, talent, and skills to provide a top level quality media production experience. I enjoy entertaining my featured guests and the fans. Without them this show would not be possible.

The Liza with a Z Podcast is a platform that provides a positive influence in sports & entertainment, shining a spotlight on all featured guests and events. For bookings/events inquiries: Lizawithazpodcast@gmail.com

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in the paradise of South Florida where everyone come to travel and have a great time. The beach is where you most likely find my friends and I enjoying the beauty and natural air.

We may go to Downtown Ft. Lauderdale to experience the night scene experience at The Wharf or any of the rooftop bars out there.

If there’s any events like musicals, concerts, comedy shows, or sporting events, you can definitely catch us enjoying venues like the FTX Arena, Hard Rock Stadium, Jackie Gleason Theatre and more.

We would definitely hit up a few malls, Sawgrass mills, Broward, Aventura, and Dolphin malls are some of the few I would take them too.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people who have helped with the development of the Liza with a Z Podcast.

Lou Vasquez is one of the mentors in my life who has always pushed me to never give up on my goals as a media broadcaster.

Michael Maldonado is my fight manager and one of the top matchmakers in Florida. He has supported every goal I have from fighting to broadcasting. I would not be the fighter I am without his unconditional support and love;.

Israel Cantu: One is of the best media production managers in the State of Florida and has the best cages around from boxing rings, octagons, lighting, live streaming and more. He took me under his wing and has shown me the ropes in the combat sports fight game.

Jaime Alvarado is my strength, conditioning, and recovery coach with the GOEFIT team. He helps maintain my peace with constant mentoring and keeps me motivated as an athlete.

Round 5 MMA: My MMA Coach Cesar Serje has been a blessing in my life. Since the day he came into my life he pushes my abilities as a fighter. He has shown me nothing but love and support to succeed as a combat sports athlete.
Without the unconditional support from him and my teammates, I would not be the warrior I am today.

Blake Chadwick is a top level national sports broadcaster and ring announcer. He has been a major supporter of the Liza with a Z Podcast in the 2022 season. He has provided guidance and critiques my performances to assist with my development as a media broadcaster.

Miami Media School: I am a proud alumni of the school, they helped educate me in all the many different levels of media production. All the talented “In the biz” instructors, staff, and students helped shape me in to the Radio & TV Broadcasting Professional I am today.

Friends & Family. I am nothing without the unconditional love and support from my children, family, and best friends. They support any goal or idea I have, and find ways to help my success in any way they can. For this I am forever grateful

Fight Promotions: Xtreme Fight Nation, Rise of a Warrior, Action Fight League. Titan FC, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, Bad Promotions. etc.
I appreciate all the promotions for allowing me highlight their fighters on my platform and having me at their events.

To all the fighters, coaches, sponsors, fans, followers, subscribers, photographers, and anyone who has had a positive influence on the Liza with a Z Podcast, I thank you with all my heart for supporting the show. This is only the beginning, we have more to come.
