Meet Lolita Lee | Mobile Coffee Bar Barista

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lolita Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lolita, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I have realized that over time, life without balance leads to chaos. Imagine a scale that is uneven on both sides, it tends to tilt and create an imbalance that isn’t beneficial to either side. Well, the work life balance works the same way. Initially, when I was starting my business, it was the only thing that I could talk or think about. However, it wasn’t until I realized why I started the business that the order and realignment came into focus. Before I began my new adventure as a stay-at-home mom, all I ever knew was to work, come home, take care of the children and husband etcetera and as many know this cycle was placed on repeat each day. I knew that I wanted more, I wanted more quality time with my children, and I wanted to be able to attend those parent meetings, fieldtrips or whatever they had going on. By stepping back and realizing now that my business was taking away that time like my job used to. I had to learn to refocus, plan, organize and make sure that business was being taken care of as well as the growth of my family.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We bring joy and excitement to coffee, tea and hot chocolate lovers. There are many people who love coffee, and we make it simple and easy for them to enjoy. We serve organic Ganoderm lucidum (reishi mushroom superfoods) that is infused into the most delicious beverages. What makes our brand different is that the cup of love that the person is receiving is both enjoyable and healthy. So, in a sense it’s a two for one deal. We are different in the fashion that we do not have a physical location, but our location is wherever the client wishes us to be. We provide a mobile coffee bar experience. With a wide variety of beverage packages to choose from, clients can customize their very own coffee bar. We will arrive, set up and handcraft the drinks on site.

There are many challenges with starting any business, however with the style of beverages that we serve it makes it a lot easier. One of the challenges, is the what do you do exactly. Pretty much we bring the coffee bar to you. Is someone having an employee appreciation day, wedding or business meeting? We will set up and create the most glamourous coffee bar around.

We also sell our beverages and products to individual customers in our dedicated website. We also have our coffee as the coffee of choice in doctor’s, insurance and therapist’s office.

One important lesson that I learned along the way is to understand that what you have to offer may not be everyone’s “cup of tea”, but there is someone who will need and value what you have to offer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I believe that Tampa is truly an exciting place to live and to visit. There is such a unique combination of events, eateries and the such for everyone. First off, everyone should visit Ybor City. It’s historic roots and mix of modern style is easy to get excited about. One thing that I have noticed is that there is no 1 place a person should eat at, I say mix it up and Tampa has it all.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would definitely be lost without the assistance from my husband, Darnell Lee. Darnell is that person that gives it to me straight. I love to bounce ideas off of him and listen to different view or ideas and opportunities. He is very supportive and whatever it is that I wish to do he always “has my back”.
