We had the good fortune of connecting with Ludwig Paredes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ludwig, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
From a very young age I was immersed in the world of art and especially music, my father and mother where both artists. I believe that art and specifically music is the easiest way to reach the deepest emotions and compartments of the mind. Music in a few second can make you smile or it can make you feel sad. That’s art, that’s emotion. Personally, I believe that in a world where it is becoming more technological and automated, we need more humanity, more culture and, above all, more sensitive human beings. That is why I love music and what it makes me feel and it is also the contribution that I want to leave to humanity or at least to my family.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I do not feel like a very special person or different from the others, I recognize that I have a great talent for music and the arts, perhaps it is something genetic. The little I have has been undoubtedly thanks to my talent and my career as an artist. The artist’s career is often or most of the time not easy, it requires a lot of effort to stand out from the rest. In my case I think I have a special talent to play many instruments and to compose. One of my dreams is to work with greats Hollywood composers as a musician or composer but I also have other musical dreams, I love jazz and I would love to have my own musical project.
Currently I am dedicated to making music for advertising and TV and I have felt good doing it, but it is time to leave the comfort zone and pursue my dreams as an artist. It’s time for the world to know about my talent and what I have to offer

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Caracas is not a very big city nor is it very fun, but if a friend were visiting, I would certainly take him to the mountains, to the beach, to eat arepas and some places in the city that are related to the arts and perhaps to some concerts

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without a doubt, much of the success of many people is due to the environment that surrounds them, and to people who push you to be better. In my case, I owe a lot to my family, my parents who always support me, my brothers and colleagues. My brother Lester Paredes, a great artist, has supported me since I can remember and largely thanks to him I have been able to achieve great satisfaction in my career and in my life in general. Also to my mentor and colleague for more than 10 years Luis Miguel Emmanuelli with whom I have grown a lot as a musician, composer and I have learned many of the world of music for cinema and advertising. And also the unconditional support and love of my wife and kids.
