We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Swift and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my business, came from a place of sitting too still for too long! I’ve always been a career girl. My field of choice is Higher Education; Specializing in Business/Administrative Organization. Well after working in the field for 10+years & being pregnant with our first child, I decided to take some time off and enjoy being a mommy. Welp, 6 months in, I was losing my mind! Babies really do sleep all day. So, in the midst of my boredom I decided to act on my hobby & love for crafting. It started small with making a few shirts for family and soon it became a passion I could not live without. And then there was the thought, “I should do this full time” & with that thought ViaSwift Creations, LLC was born.

What should our readers know about your business?
ViaSwift Creations, LLC is a business that is all about creating custom designs with your style in mind. The most important word there is CUSTOM. We aim to provide you with a design that is unique to you. Whether it comes in the form of a tumbler, mask, or shirt, beginning to end, we create bomb designs with you in mind. We’ve recently expanded our world of designing and now offer Custom Business Planners (and more) via our new site: TheBusyBossShop.com. While VSC has been providing everyone something special for years, The Busy Boss Shop is a place where people seeking daily organization can come and shop with us. This expansion is so important to me because it has allowed me to use my professional skills as an organizational business coach to help fellow small business place one foot in front of the other! None of this has been easy. Sacrifices have been doubly made throughout this journey, but I must admit God has truly been present & I am grateful to be where I am today! I have learned to ask questions when I don’t know an answer, but to always ALWAYS do my own research as well & to trust myself more.
This brand I am building is full of my passion to help others and the need to see everyone be & feel GREAT!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a homebody so my list is a little sleepy 🙂 We’d definitely head out to the beach & enjoy a seafood restaurant out there! I recently went on one of those party cruises and had a blast! So add that to the list. A trip to Hardrock, for drinks and food…. and then we can head to the hotel for naps because who doesn’t love a good nap on vacay lol

Bar one, Smitty’s, & Velvet lounge are all places I’ve recently experienced and enjoyed. We can squeeze those in between naps.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This is a tough one because I have been truly blessed with the amount of love and encouragement that surrounds me daily. For the sake of this shoutout, I’d love to single out my family. My Husband, for his listening ear & business insights. My Parents, for their unwavering dedication to tell the world about their daughter’s accomplishments; my mother’s gift of patience & my father’s business sense. My Siblings, for always being first in line to make a purchase or talk me through an idea. My Bestie, for trusting me to give her my best, as she shares her talents with the world. And finally my beautiful, beautiful daughters, who remain a daily reminder of my biggest WHY.
