We had the good fortune of connecting with LUISA DOMINGUEZ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LUISA, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my business with GROWTH in mind. Personal GROWTH and the GROWTH of others in their fitness & health journey. I knew it was not going to be easy BUT I have overcome many obstacles in my personal life that truly pushed me toward a need for healing through the process of Surrendering.

I want to work with those who yearn to SURRENDER to a process of work in order to GROW and see change in their life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business came about through the peak year of COVID. I was first feeling

My business came about through the peak year of COVID. I was first feeling extremely lost but then I realized that this is the opportunity of a lifetime. I realized that I could offer an online platform to many with my know-how of nutrition & fitness programming. We were already moving towards a more autonimous approach for many years but it was more focused for athletes and competitors. I myself was using online coaching for years. I felt that with COVID there came a shift and need for regular moms, women and men to feel empowered to do things on their terms on their time. We have lots of people who are lifestyle athletes and they require my kind of services.

This is were Surrender Fitness comes in. The online specialized programs are easy to follow and my clients have full access to me during the week to learn and improve their nutrition and exercise knowldege.

My brand is about S.E.E. ing the new you thorugh S-Surrendering fad diets and fitness gimmicks, E-Embracing Flexible Nutrition and E-Evoling into a stronger version of yourself through effective movement.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

My favorite beach to visit is Lauderdale by the Sea. Start early and have lunch at Even Keel and Carrot Cake Ice cream at Sloans! Head over to Boathouse for an evening ambiance dinner by the water.

I would definetively visit Wynwood and Miami Beach and take Culinary Tour down Calle Ocho.

If you are up in Broward, I would visit Cyth & Co in Oakland Park and Funky Buddah for their beer making tour.
Otherwise, book a nice stay at the W in Fort lauderdale and visit their Steak 954 restaurant.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy was one of those books that encouraged me to look within and ignited my fire to leave my 14+ year career in paralegal to pursue my passion. I would not encourage everyone to just leave their jobs but my circumstances allowed me to at that time. I was able to enjoy motherhood after leaving and then immersed myself into fitness completely.

I also want to give my hubby Daniel credit for always pushing me towards bettering myself. Love you babe!
