We had the good fortune of connecting with Luz Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luz, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’m an illustrator, designer, painter, and new baker (during this pandemic I think many of us have been realized that cooking is awesome and artistic). Anyway being able to do what I love is great but carries a lot of sacrifices. Working until late hours sometimes weekends or thinking what to do next every 5 minutes, and be from everything in your small team of one sometimes a little bit overwhelmed, but at the end of the day the happiness of being able to know that someone out there loves what you do and that you can make them happy is “GLORIOUS”
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My artistic mindset varies a little between projects, depends a lot on what I’m doing and for who, for example when I’m doing my design work. For illustration and art is more about my style and view so is my highway.
But, in the end, I think everything I do carries the essence of who I’m, my lines, techniques, or even colors sometimes stay intact. In the end, everything is done putting all my soul and creativity.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There is a beautiful park near my house. Lately, I have been more fascinated about what nature can offer us and how you can be inspired by it. Also is a great spot to forget a little bit about the madness of the city.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have a couple of creatives friends, but choosing some of them I will mention a couple of ones that had been doing awesome stuff lately like Vans Landin ig: @bubllegurlec, Nathania Guerra @letter.play.
