We had the good fortune of connecting with Macy Mariano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Macy, what makes you happy? Why?
Helping others in whatever way I can. It makes me feel so good. Especially people that are in the same industry as me, I love collaboration over competition. The influencer market is so competitive nowadays. I love to lend a hand and be on the same level! I make sure I’m always available and there for my friends.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Hi there, I am Macy and i am 29 years old. I have been in the influencer industry for about 5 years now. Probably some of the most proudest accomplishments I have executed over the years are all the relationships I have formed through my work. I have had the pleasure to work and continuously work for notable brands like H&M, Revolve, Salvatore Ferragamo, Vital Proteins, and many more. This was not easy, but did get easier through much trial and error. The lessons I have learned are to be authentic and know my worth when it comes to the work I create for brands. I never let companies low ball me or take advantage of my work or time. I always stand my ground. I want to world to know that anyone can be an influencer. Its easy once you get the hang of it. Just put in time and effort; furthermore in time you will grow! Everything takes time!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So many of Miami’s favorite places are in Wynwood, such as The Salty Donut, Kyu, Wynwood Walls, Astra and many more. A personal favorite of mine is The Freehold (@thefreehold). I would definitely take friends for a fun Friday night there! Endless pizza, wings, great music, and drinks. During the day, the beach South of Fifth, a brunch spot, or a boat is the way to go!


Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My friends. We all do the same thing. We encourage, help, connect, hype each other up all the time haha. It’s the best. I think thats one of the best ways to succeed. If you’re surrounded by like minded people who genuinely want to see you grow, you will succeed in whatever you do.
