We had the good fortune of connecting with Madison Cresswell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madison, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Coyote Pretty is a place for the community to have a breakthrough in connection. In our society, partying often comes with a dense energy and resistance to feeling (I get it, I’ve been there: numbing out a breakup or your perpetual unhappiness at work with a few shots of liquid confidence). High Vibrational Night Life is literally the opposite of that. Maybe you take a ginger shot, get outside of your comfort zone on the dance floor or in a conversation with a stranger in the zen area. Wherever the flow takes someone throughout the night, they will have an experience that will have them leaving feeling proud of themselves, not ashamed. Full of vitality and enchantment, not hungover. With lifelong friends, not one night stands. It’s a party that helps your situation rather than temporarily bypassing it. I think everyone needs more of that.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Music is the most powerful force in the Universe because everything is a vibration, and therefore music, in essence. I personally use music in a variety of ways, especially through Incantations during Reiki Meditation, which I facilitate at Substance Abuse Treatment Centers throughout Palm Beach County. When I sing over a client who is hurting, it’s as though the melody nestles into their sorrow, and holds them there. They almost always cry or have a profound experience of liberation and self-acceptance.

In my free time I also write and record music as Madi Magdalene, and play live gigs with my band, Sunday Morning. Music has always held my hand through heavy emotions, so I aim to do that for others if I can.

Overall, I attribute my success solely to the Divine. My relationship with God (which was not always… peachy-thank you organized religion), guided me through every single step, taking me further than I could have ever asked for or imagined.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Beaches: Boynton Inlet or Spanish River (I have another but it’s locals only. Iykyk)

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It’s a warm summer night in South Florida. The windows are down, and me and my girls are driving down Atlantic Avenue singing along to some 2000’s jams. We just finished dinner and badly wanted to dance, but everywhere we looked there was … stumbling, non-consensual interactions, fighting. Even the happiest looking bars had a certain heaviness about them that this group of empaths couldn’t ignore long enough to have a good time. We fantasized about a sober night club, and all the wonderful elements it would have. I went back and forth with Madison Wald, a renowned Reiki Master in Fort Lauderdale, until we both said the name, “Coyote Pretty,” at the same time, as if it were channeled. We knew we had to bring it to life, then. And so we did. We did it for all the girls like ‘Jersey’ from Coyote Ugly, who found her voice at a very special bar. We did it for girls like us. For the ones who got sick of numbing it out. For the health-conscious, for the sober-curious, for the athletes, for the corporate leaders. For the lonely, the talented, the alcoholic in recovery, the spiritual rebel. From us, for the human race. Thank you to Madi, to Santiago of Gratefuel Cafe, and to all of the Coyote’s who helped to birth this event.
