We had the good fortune of connecting with Marlon Doyle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marlon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
well for me it was very simple, i was sewing since i was a kid maybe 9 or 10 years of age, then i started sewing my own clothes and creating things when i was in the 10th grade.so in 2017 i decided to take a passion of mines and create my own clothing brand.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
well what sets us apart from others is that were visible, people will know exactly who we are, who they are buying from and who there actually dealing with. Some of the bigger clothing brands you don’t know who they are where there passion and inspiration comes from as a black owed business and a brand we want people to know exactly where were from and where our passion comes from. that’s what i want the world to know about our brand
where we are today was defiantly not easy. being an entrepreneur you have to do a lot of things on your own and most of the time your learning as you go which in the end makes you stronger. we have learned to take what we have and make it work.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
well thank God my best friend is my partner and we live in Miami lol but if i had to show him the best time were different we like museums and stuff lol we also would just go drinking we like chill spots where we could eat and chill and have our guy talk places like Tootsies Cabaret they have some of the best food late night we can kinda chill and vibe, then there is STK Miami because i love steak, or drinks and food at Houston’s that’s one of our drinking spots.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
